The actress memorised the phonetics to sound like an English speaker while speaking her lines on stage. Ana was born in Cuba and has Spanish ancestry. Although Ana can speak English now, she didn’t grow up speaking it, which is why she had trouble learning it when she arrived to Hollywood.
