SCI-FI SERIES FARZAR SEASON 2 INTENDS TO COPY PARADISE PD’S SUCCESS

Following the failure of the 2022 Resident Evil series and the fairly underwhelming D.B. Cooper: Where Are You docuseries, this week has undoubtedly been a mixed bag for Netflix. With the latest adult animated series from the streaming juggernauts, Farzar, fans may now jump from one crazy adventure to another (that was at least supposed to be outrageous from the start).

This cartoon series is undoubtedly polarizing fans on social media, but it has enough space-toilet humor to tide you over until the next Dead Space or Rick and Morty season. What are the chances that Farzar, a science fiction series on Netflix, will return for another interstellar adventure? As of July 16th, Farzar has not yet been publicly renewed for season 2.

Season 2 Renewal Status for Farzar

As previously mentioned, neither Netflix nor the Farzar showrunners have publicly announced that season 2 is in the works, but because the show was just recently made available, viewers shouldn’t be alarmed by the lack of information just yet.

The good news is that Farzar’s prospects are still quite promising as a result of the multi-year agreement that Netflix and the show’s producers Waco O’Guin and Roger Black signed. Deadline claimed in January 2021 that the streaming behemoth and the duo had reached a “multi-year contract” for additional Paradise PD seasons and fresh future material, beginning with Farzar.

“We are overjoyed that Netflix has finally proposed to us. It’s a fantastic network full of kind individuals and a wonderful place to work! Finally, we will be able to purchase the matching cherry red PT Cruisers we had been eyeing. according to Black and O’Guin and Deadline.

It’s not clear if this implies that O’Guin and Black are allowed to switch from Farzar to a new IP after just one season. However, it’s safe to assume that the sci-fi series will return for at least one more season in a way similar to Paradise PD provided the show proves to be sufficiently popular with viewers (which is currently set to launch its fourth and final season in December).

Combine this with episode 10 of season 1’s fairly ambiguous ending, and it’s still quite likely that season 2 will depend on viewership and streaming numbers. So, what do fans and critics think of the series?

HOW HAS SEASON 1 OF FARZAR BEEN RATED SO FAR?

Fans and critics alike have given Farzar moderate to generally positive reviews; the more favorable replies presumably came from fans of comedies with a similar name or feel, such as Paradise PD and Brickleberry.

The first season of Stranger Things is now rated a disappointing 5.9/10 on IMDB, but this rating only includes 117 reviews, and the show has only been streaming for a short while on Netflix.

Farzar “might be a funny program, but unless you’re a big lover of dick jokes — and we know you’re out there! — you’re not going to find a lot to laugh at with this show,” Decider advises fans to “Skip.”

With jokes to hit all stitches, ReadySteadyCut gave Farzar a 4/5 rating and said, “If you’re a lover of animation, especially Paradise PD, Brickleberry, Futurama, Rick and Morty, and Big Mouth, I definitely recommend this series.” Asserting that “this crazy series is intended to delight you with the humor that will gross you out at times,” LeisureByte also gave the show a 4/5 rating.

“With everything else remaining the same, the sci-fi concept feels like just table decor. However, the audience who enjoys this kind of information will continue to do so. There is a good reason why Netflix keeps approving these shows. It soon becomes apparent, though, that the train will eventually come to a stop, and the builders will have to look for the following great trend. — Nelson Acosta, through FictionHorizon.

Overall, Farzar is the kind of series to gather some momentum and endurance because it is an adult animated series on Netflix, even though the critics’ reviews are undoubtedly nothing to write home about. As a result, the major criterion for renewal will be the number of streams, but it seems likely that Farzar will receive at least one more season.
