DUKE OF DEATH AND HIS MAID SEASON 2 CONFIRMS FOR 2023

DUKE OF DEATH AND HIS MAID SEASON 2 CONFIRMS FOR 2023

The release of season 2 of the anime The Duke of Death and His Maid has been set for 2023, much to the surprise of fans.

Fans all over the world are loving the newest series that Japanese production firms have to offer as the 2022 Summer anime slate arrives.

However, a brand-new promo for The Duke of Death and His Maid season 2, which premiered last Summer, is becoming viral online.

While the news of the renewal last year allowed fans of The Duke of Death and His Maid to exhale in comfort, the new teaser has announced a 2023 release date for season 2.

Finally, the first trailer for the anime SOLO LEVELLING announced at A-1 has a release date of 2023.

THE DUKE OF DEATH WAS QUICK TO ANNOUNCE SEASON 2

Only a few minutes after the season finale of The Duke of Death and His Maid aired domestically in Japan back in September 2021, it was formally announced that the show had been renewed for season 2.

The NBC Universal Anime Music YouTube account posted a little teaser video alongside the announcement that season 2 was beginning production.

Although the news of a second season was hailed by fans, few people would have been too shocked to learn that the anime had been given the go-ahead for yet another journey.

The Duke of Death and His Maid has a lot of both popularity and source material, two elements that are often required for anime renewals.

Up till volume 5 chapter 68 of the original manga series, Season 1 Episode 12 was adapted. The good news is that 14 full Tankobon volumes have been published in Japan as of July 2022.

Similarly, despite some criticism of the CGI animation, the series has generally received positive reviews from both fans and critics.

Funimation regrettably chose not to make the number of streaming for simulcast titles public. The Duke of Death and His Maid, on the other hand, frequently made the Top 10 Anime of the Week lists during the summer and currently has a strong rating of 3.7/5 on Anime Planet, 7.2/10 on IMDB, 74% on Anilist, and 7.68/10 on MyAnimeList with over 69,000 reviews.

“This show was charming and had an interesting premise. The characters were wonderfully portrayed, and the plot was well carried out. Even though the CGI was a little disappointing, I still enjoyed the presentation. Overall, I really enjoyed watching this episode, and I can’t wait to see how the plot develops in season 2. – Nero 18, thru MAL

TEASER FOR SEASON 2 OF THE DUKE OF DEATH AND HIS MAID

A target release date for season 2 of The Duke of Death and His Maid was regretfully not made public until this week, when a new teaser trailer, which you can watch below, revealed that the anime will return in 2023.

“I wish I could touch you, but I can’t…”

Destiny and love are about to take off. – Text from the Season 2 trailer on NBC Universal Anime/Music YouTube.

Although a more precise release date has not yet been disclosed, we can make some assumptions based on the season 1 production cycle.

Although Koharu Inoue’s popular manga was officially adapted into an anime in February 2021, it is safe to claim that production had already begun before the series’ July television debut.

The fact that JC Staff announced a second season immediately after the finale also suggests that development on a sequel broadcast was already planned before the initial broadcast, which could shorten the wait for season 2 for viewers.

Similar to this, fans may be encouraged by the availability of manga source material that Bocchana and Alice won’t have to wait an eternity to make a comeback.

The Duke of Death and His Maid will most likely make a comeback in either January 2023 on the Winter slate or April 2023 on the Spring slate, depending on the season.
