Mark Hamill is promoting the return of spicy chicken strips and french toast sticks for the fast food chain Jack in the Box. These are said to be his favorite items. Many people don’t know, though, that the actor was fired from the fast food restaurant almost 50 years ago.
Hamill tried to act like a joker while taking orders at the drive-through window. His manager didn’t like this, so he fired him soon after.
The franchise heard about the story and decided to use the actor again in their latest advertisement. This is what the ad’s headline says:
“Mark Hamill, a famous actor who used to work at Jack-in-the-Box but was fired, is back at work in the drive-thru. To see more, click the link in my bio.”
Hamill is seen telling his story to people who come to pick up their orders at the drive-through window.

Mark Hamill later went into more detail about the event when he talked to Insider. The Star Wars actor told the website that he started working for the franchise when he was 18 and studying theater arts at Los Angeles City College.
He said he had worked in restaurants before, which got him hired right away. Hamill said:
“When I was about 16, I worked at another fast-food place, so I knew how things worked. I made shakes and worked the grill, but the takeout window was always my goal.”
The artist wanted to “interact with the public,” and he or she wanted to do so by acting like a clown. So when he got the chance to take orders at the takeout window, he made sure to do his best clown impression. He added:
“I thought you should talk like a clown, so I did. I found it funny, but my boss found it annoying.”
His boss didn’t think he was serious about the job, so he asked him to leave. The actor who plays Batman said:
“I stopped when my boss told me to. But when the work day was over, he told Mark, “You know, if you can’t take this job seriously, it might not be for you.” That is, go away and don’t come back.”
So, Mark Hamill’s job at Jack in the Box came to an end. The actor said he was thankful for the lessons he learned on the job and said that each life experience helps people get ready for the future and where they want to be in life. He added:
