In the meantime, the man regained consciousness and re-entered his vehicle, which was going eastbound at “a high rate of speed,” according to police.
Upon passing through the intersection of Superior Avenue and Lake Shore Boulevard West, the vehicle rushed through the intersection, striking and killing a 75-year-old man and Kelly Hamilton.
The sedan subsequently collided with a flatbed truck that was parked and empty at the time. The driver was found dead on the scene and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
