After Billups announced his retirement from playing in 2014, he began working as a studio analyst. Billups was born in Denver, Colorado, and he received his high school diploma from George Washington High School in Denver in the year 1995. While playing for George Washington, he was named to the first team of the All-State team four times, was named Colorado Mr.
Basketball three times, and was named Colorado Player of the Year as a sophomore and as a junior. He was a freshman when he began playing on the varsity team. He was chosen for the McDonald’s All-American Team in 1995, but he was unable to participate in the game because of a shoulder injury.

Chauncey Billups: Sexual Abusing
Billups and another former Celtic player named Ron Mercer were accused of sexually abusing a lady in the home of another former Celtic player named Antoine Walker in the year 1997. On November 9, 1997, after leaving a comedy club in Boston, the woman was raped at Walker’s condominium by Billups, Mercer, and Michael Irvin, who was Walker’s roommate.
This is according to a civil suit that was filed. A medical examination performed the day after the victim’s testimony found injuries that were consistent with those described by the victim. Although no criminal charges were brought, a legal matter between Billups and Mercer was resolved in the year 2000.
