Her face required 40 to 50 stitches as a result of the injury. The country singer’s wrist was also broken in the incident, and she had to undergo surgery to fix it.
Carrie announced after the accident that she had suffered a facial injury and would not display her face for some time. Her announcement stunned and startled everyone.
However, after Carrie’s face was shown in April, the public expressed conflicting feelings over her facial injuries.
Some speculated that her entire story of facial injury and her decision to step away from the spotlight for a period of time was a ruse to hide her facial surgery work.
People also criticized Carrie, claiming that her face appeared to be the same as before and that she was exaggerating about the tragedy.

She also addressed the plastic surgery accusations, calling them false and expressing her desire to have her scar faded, but also admitting that she couldn’t.
