Carmen Gloria Pérez (A Storm for Christmas): Career

She is a writer as well as a filmmaker, and she has written, produced, directed, and edited a number of pieces of short-form content (music videos and experimental short films) as part of her content producing lab called House of Experiments, which is also in the process of development.

In addition to that, she has experience working independently as a film and television controller.

As an actor, Pérez was most recently seen on the Swedish Emmy Award–winning series “Young Royals” on Netflix. She will also appear in the upcoming Netflix series “A Storm For Christmas,” which will premiere on December 16, 2022 and is directed by Per-Olav Srensen.

She was recognised as the Best Supporting Actress at the Valley Theatre League Artistic Director Achievement (ADA) Awards in 2003 for her performance in the Layon Gray play “Soldiers Don’t Cry.”

She has more than 40 acting credits to her name. During the past five years, she has worked on a few more projects in both Scandinavia and the United States, the most recent of which was the Finnish series “Made In Finland/Mobile 1.0” for Viaplay’s “Prni.”

Her instrumental chillout/lounge music composition “Pajarito,” which she co-wrote and co-composed with the late British producer Matt Powell, is included on the CD Café Del Mar Dreams 9 as a testament to her former career as a musician (as Carmen Perez).

She has had songs such as “Emergency” and “Overload” on charts such as Billboard’s Top 40 Hot Dance Club Play and the Top 10 UK Commercial Pop Charts.

Her extended play, “The Art of Love,” which she released under the stage name Carmen Gloria, was praised by critics and was up for the award for Best Jazz EP.

Pérez published her first children’s book series as an author and illustrator in 2019, and it was called the Kid Astronomy series.

The series was inspired by Pérez’s love of space and her mission to motivate children to become interested in STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts Math) subjects, which are the fastest growing careers.

Pérez is able to communicate effectively in Spanish, English, an advanced level of Norwegian, and a beginning level of Swedish, and he works in multiple countries.
