Brian Laundrie’s dad hikes to where son’s remains were found after judge refuses to dismiss Petitos’ lawsuit

Christopher Laundrie, the father of Brian Laundrie, was reportedly seen hiking at the location where the skeletal remains of his son were discovered in October of 2021.

This news comes just one day after the judge ruled in favor of the civil suit brought by Gabby Petito’s parents and stated that the Laundrie family would have to face the jury in the case. On the morning of Friday, July 1, Christopher Laundrie was observed in Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park carrying a hiking stick. The remains of Brian Laundrie were discovered in this park in October of the previous year. It is the same park.

During his hike in the morning, the father, who is 62 years old and was captured in exclusive photographs obtained by Fox 3 Now, was seen wearing a gray t-shirt, khaki shorts, sunglasses, and a green baseball cap. After that, he went to his vehicle, which was a red Dodge truck, and got inside. This is the same location where Chris and Robert, Brian’s parents, joined the police in their search for their son, so the sighting seems particularly odd in light of that fact. In a phone interview at the time with CNN host Chris Cuomo, the attorney for the Laundrie family, Steve Bertolino, stated, “The probability is strong that it is Brian’s remains, but we’re going to wait for the forensic results to come in and verify that.” When Brian’s parents were able to locate his remains in just thirty minutes, they were subjected to a great deal of scrutiny. This was because the FBI had been searching the area for almost six weeks without coming across anything. Take a look at the pictures that we have here.

The unusual occurrence took place a day after a judge in Florida ruled in favor of Nichole and Joe Gabby, Gabby’s parents, in their civil suit against the Laundrie family for causing “emotional distress.” The suit was brought by Nichole and Joe Gabby against the Laundrie family. The statement that Laundrie family attorney Steve Bertolino made on behalf of the Laundries was deemed by the court to be “objectively outrageous.” In the court order, there was a reference to the time when Bertolino had said, “On behalf of the Laundrie family, it is our hope that the search for Miss Petito is successful and that Miss Petito is reunited with her family.” However, the attorney for the Petito family, Patrick Reilly, has accused the Laundrie family of intentionally causing emotional distress and giving false hope to the Petito family by making that statement. He claims that the Laundrie family was aware that Gabby had already passed away.

The perplexing investigation into the death of Gabby Petito

A woman named Gabby Petito, who was 22 years old at the time, and her fiance, Brian Laundrie, went on a road trip across the country. The last time anyone saw her was in Salt Lake City, Utah, on August 24th, 2021. After some time, on September 19th, her lifeless body was discovered in Grand Teton National Park. It was determined that she had been strangled prior to her death. The couple had just left their house at 7.15 local time when they were followed closely by two men dressed in hiking gear, according to a report that aired on Fox News. The 13th of September, 2021 was the last time anyone saw Brian.

In the ruling, Judge Hunter stated, “Because the Laundries’ statement by their attorney in the context of the unique faces of this case is objectively outrageous, the Court concludes that Plaintiffs [Petitos] have stated causes of actions for intentional infliction of emotional distress against the Laundries.” This meant that the Petitos could sue the Laundries for intentionally causing them emotional distress. If the facts of this case were truly about silence, with no affirmative act by the Laundries, the Court would have ruled in favor of the Laundries based on the concept of legal duty, and the case would have been decided in their favor. However, they did not maintain their silence.
