Will Erika be able to complete Gia’s unfinished business? Explained Boo, Bitch ends
After considering her lengthy friendship with Gia, Erika was seen in the finale realizing her error and going back to being her gentler self. She attends prom, where Gia’s ghost pardons her. By the end of the episode, Erika persuades everyone to vote for Gia as prom queen, completing Gia’s unfinished business that ultimately led to Erika’s ascent.
Tim Schauer, Erin Ehrlich, Kuba Soltysiak, and Lauren Iungerich served as the miniseries’ directors. The miniseries’ authors included all four of them in addition to Vivian Huang, Jewel Chanel, Sonia Kharkar, and Stefanie Leder.

Erika, did you recognize your error?
Erika reflected on her long friendship with Gia and all the good and bad experiences they had experienced together in Boo, Bitch’s season finale episode eight. She abruptly realized her terrible error and was observed returning to her previous good nature.
She was also shown coming to her senses over Gia’s tragic and untimely death after understanding that she had been talking to herself the entire time. By informing her that Gia had not been seen or heard from in more than a month, her father helped her accept the sad reality.
Later, Gia’s boyfriend Gavin was seen telling Erika that he had learned of her tragic passing. Erika was concerned that if her unfinished task stayed unresolved, Gia would not be able to climb upwards and that if Gia missed the prom, she would always be a ghost.
The Afterlifers might be seen banding together to assist Erica in finding a solution.
Erika completed Gia’s unfinished business, but to what extent?
Erika was spotted entering Gia’s bedroom toward the end of Episode 8 and setting out her stunning prom outfit. Erika’s realization that her closest friend would never get to wear that garment was what made this scene in the miniseries, arguably, the most poignant.
Erika later attended the prom and expressed her regret to the hosts. When the hosts ordered her to go, Devon was spotted accepting her as his partner.
Gia arrived at the prom at the miniseries’ conclusion. Erika ran to her as soon as she saw her to make amends for her errors. Gia’s ghost was spotted pardoning her best friend and praising her for having the guts to attend prom. Gia and Gavin then proceeded to dance.
Erika was seen ascending the platform for a speech following the announcement of the prom king and queen. She was initially jeered by everyone, but with Devon’s encouragement, she was able to finally deliver an emotional statement about Gia’s tragic passing.

She praised her friend and then pleaded with everyone to think twice before electing Gia as prom queen. As soon as they concurred, Gia completed her unfinished job and vanished, rising upward in the shape of a dazzling orb of light. Erika and Jake C. rekindled their relationship as the miniseries came to a close.
