Boo, Bitch is a Netflix original teen supernatural comedy sitcom. High school students Gia (Zoe Margaret Colletti) and Erika Vu are central to the narrative (Lana Condor). Is Gia alive or dead?
Gia and Erika are involved in a strange accident after leaving what appears to be their first high school party. A moose is struck by a fast truck and crashes into one of them. Erika awakens the following morning without her shoes or the identical necklace Gia owns. She and Gia search the woods for the jewelry and discover it close to a girl’s body that was crushed under the dead moose. Erika’s lost shoes are on the girl’s feet. When Gia says that she had peered under the moose, Erika initially thinks that she is the one who is deceased.
Erika confirms that she is deceased and surmises that she must be a ghost who is unable to leave this world until she attends to her unfinished business. She begins dating her crush, gets more well-liked, and joins Riley’s clique. She and Gia begin to grow apart in the meantime.
In episode 6, the simmering argument between Gia and Erika results in a fight. Gia discovers that she is the deceased, not Erika, when she pulls the body out from under the moose. Gia told lies to keep her dearest friend safe. Erika had at last allowed herself to be exposed to the high school experiences. She would have let her grief consume her if she had known that Gia had passed away. Gia clearly put Erika through a different kind of terrifying ordeal despite her good intentions.
Until Erika recognizes that she was mostly at fault, the two friends continue to be upset with one another. She is the only one who can see Gia; Gavin is the other. Gavin reportedly has the ability to see ghosts when he drinks. Because of their unique connection, he is able to touch Gia. Erika understands that Gia’s unfinished business is attending prom. She grants her friend’s wish with Gavin’s assistance, and Gia passes across. She continues to keep an eye on her best buddy despite this. Erika receives a lamp as a gift five months later, when she is enrolled in college. The bulb turns on without being plugged in just as Erika is about to leave her dorm, showing that Gia is still with her.
