Ava Swiss: Survivor of the shooting at Oxford High School, performs on The AGT
One of the finalists on America’s Got Talent, Ava Swiss, escaped the Oxford, Michigan, shooting.
The judges of America’s Got Talent have been enchanted by Ava’s breathtaking performance this week. She performed flawlessly in front of the judges after surviving the most traumatic incident of her life.
She made a lasting impression on the judges with her performance. Simon Cowell exclaimed that he would never forget Ava’s performance and expressed his joy at seeing the school shooting survivor sing.
When Was Ava Swiss Born?
Ava is currently 18 years old. She has been singing for approximately two years and loves it very much. Ava wanted to prove to the world that things could improve rather than let the tragedy consume her.
Lauren Daigle’s song “Remember” was performed by her. Because she and her brother participated in a school shooting that resulted in the deaths of four classmates, she chose this song.
Swiss said that after grieving for a protracted period of time, she had to ultimately let go of the sad incident and use her performance to inspire people to believe that things will get better in due course.
Her act also wonderfully conveyed the message. Her judges were smitten as well. She couldn’t be happier after hearing only nice comments from the judges.
Even though Ava has only been singing for two years, she has an angelic voice. She have the talent necessary to win AGT this year.
Ava Swiss attended school when the shooting occurred
There was a mass shooting at Oxford High School in the American suburb of Oxford Township, which is close to Detroit. Seven people were injured, including a teacher, and four students lost their lives.
Among the school student’s survivors were Ava and her brother. She was present in the building when the shooting at the school occurred.
She managed to survive the school shooting, though, and the horror soon ended. Even though she lived, she was never able to recover from the trauma it gave her. She has now stepped onto the AGT stage to share her experience with the world through performance and song.

The AGT performance of Ava has made her parents extremely happy. They are so happy for Ava that she has been able to move on from the trauma brought on by the school massacre.
A second gunshot survivor who belongs to Swiss is his brother. According to Ava, she and her brother vowed never to set foot inside the school once more.
But they have adjusted to their trauma and have begun going back to school. Ava thinks she can cope with it and that it shouldn’t prevent her from achieving anything in life, despite the fact that it is frightening and she is still getting used to it.
