TREVOR (CHARACTER IN NETFLIX’S SERIES “MAN VS BEE”): KILL THE BEE??

Rowan Atkinson is one of the brightest stars around.

He is well known for his slapstick performances in sitcoms like Blackadder, which helped make characters like Mr. Bean and Johnny English iconic.

Many people adore the 67-year-old English actor and comedian, and they were ecstatic when his newest series premiered on Netflix on June 24th, 2022.

Although the idea is straightforward, Rowan Atkinson has the ability to make it more compelling by giving a performance that is reminiscent of some of his funniest and most recognisable work. You might, however, become impatient.

If so, does Trevor in Man v. Bee actually kill the bee?

IN MAN VS BEE, DOES TREVOR KILL THE BEE?

At the conclusion of Man vs. Bee, Trevor does not kill the bee.

The beautiful mansion that needs to be looked after by the house sitter is being buzzed by a bee that has gotten inside.

He initially catches it and lets it go, but when it returns to the mansion, he doesn’t exactly act with much consideration. As he comes up with progressively absurd strategies to get rid of the bee from his life, it becomes into his sworn nemesis.

As the trials multiply, the emphasis of the programme switches to his attempts to kill the bee, as the title of the programme suggests. He even puts up a bomb, using some honey to lure the bee into a trap.

Trevor fails despite his brave attempt. The bee endures.

MAN VS. BEE: HOW DOES IT END?

Trevor loses it to the point where he concludes setting the mansion on fire is the only way to guarantee the bee’s fate.

So he actually does that. The real kicker, though, is…

You better believe that Trevor is taken into custody for the crime of arson even though the bee lives. But after he establishes that Christian is accountable for an insurance fraud case, he is able to escape from jail.

Now that he is free, he goes on vacation with his daughter Maddy but discovers that the bee has followed him.

The bee can be read as a reminder that Trevor’s obsessiveness and propensity to dwell on trivial, pointless things, as The Cinemaholic has noted.

As the show hasn’t been renewed, it’s unclear whether we’ll see him continue to fight the beetle.

Rowan Atkinson has returned!

And this time, the well-known actor and comedian is facing up against his smallest foe in what promises to be his worst string of blunders yet!

Man vs. Bee is now available on Netflix.

The phrase “BEES DON’T DO FACIAL EXPRESSIONS”
David Kerr, the director of Man vs. Bee, revealed recently to Variety how he brought the bee to life:

“Bees don’t have faces, either. Therefore, it is impossible to have a bee lifting an eyebrow or frowning. You must therefore rely on details such as how it cleans and massages its antenna, if it leans back on its hindquarters, and how rapidly or silently it swings its wings.

“You rely on these incredibly minute bodily characteristics to express your attitude or to suggest emotion,” he continued.

Netflix is the only place to watch Man vs. Bee.
