Sepi Golzari-Munro is the Acting Director of the Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit, a non-profit organisation that encourages informed debate on energy and climate change issues in the United Kingdom. Working with political and policy processes in the United Kingdom and throughout the world, as well as with the corporate and civil society sectors has given her more than a decade of experience in this field.
Agroforestry, as well as community gardening, and food security are all areas in which she is passionate about. She is particularly enthusiastic about the enormous potential of the Soil Association’s work at the confluence of politics with farming, as well as the climate and biodiversity crises, given her passion for food and agroforestry, as well as her interest in community gardening and food security.
In addition, she served as a member of the UK100 Board of Directors for five years and as a Co-Optee on the JRCT Sustainable Futures Committee for the same amount of time. The National Lottery Community Fund and the Climate Action Fund, among other positions, have recently recruited her for a place on their advisory boards.

Ms. Sepi Golzari-Munro oversees the UK programme of the E3G Climate and Environment Thinktank, which she founded. As a legal research assistant for Lord Justice Stephen Sedley during her two-year sabbatical from the Faculty of Law at King’s College London, she gained valuable experience.
Previously, she served in the United Kingdom government for seven years, serving as Director of the Capital Markets Climate Initiative at the Department of Energy and Climate Change for two years and as Director of the Ministry of Justice for five years, where she oversaw parliamentary bills, provided human rights advice, and helped to design government reform programmes.
All of these awards came during her stay at Kaplan Law School, and they came in April of 2013. She also got a BPTC Scholarship, the Duke of Edinburgh Entrance Award, the Inner Temple Exhibition Award, and the Struben Bequest Prize.

Similar to this, she had previously been awarded the Performance Award – East Africa Trade Mission by the Department of Energy and Climate Change in October 2012, as well as the Performance Award – Parliamentary and Media Handling Strategy by the Ministry of Justice in May of this year.
This scholarship was awarded by the British Universities North America Club in August 2008, as was the Provost’s Graduate Fellowship from McGill University, Faculty of Law in August 2008, and the Law School Prize – Jurisprudence and Legal Theory – Highest Marks from the King’s College Law Faculty in June 2006, among other awards.
