Spelman College: Where Is it? Why Zahara Jolie’s college pick brought Angelina Jolie great joy?
Angelina Jolie, an American actress, is thrilled that Zahara is now enrolled at Spelman College.
The 47-year-old celebrity posted a photo of her daughter, 19, and her college friends on Instagram on July 31. She captioned the image of the girls in their smiles:
“Zahara and her sisters from Spelman! Thank you to everyone who is a new student this year. It is both a privilege and a really special place to have a family member join Spelman.”
Spelman College, located in Atlanta, Georgia, was established in 1881. The liberal arts program is offered at the oldest privately funded historically black college or university (HBCU).
The prominent university is only five minutes from downtown Atlanta and can be reached quickly via the I-20 expressway from the Atlanta University Center.
A video of the actress attending a college function went viral online when Jolie revealed that her daughter Zahara will be entering the esteemed Spelman College this autumn.
According to HuffPost, Angelina Jolie may be seen dancing in a TikTok video with more than 125,000 views as she takes part in a college-sponsored event.
In 2005, Angelina Jolie took in Zahara from an Ethiopian orphanage. Brad Pitt, the actress’s ex-husband, later adopted her as well.
When Jolie and Zahara were spotted shopping in Rome in June 2022, the actress was filming Without Blood, her sixth film as a director. Salma Hayek and Demián Bichir both play significant roles in the film, according to rumors. The release date hasn’t been made public yet.

The most well-known romance in Jolie’s life involved actor Brad Pitt. They spent over 13 years together, of which two were spent married. Jolie filed for divorce in 2016 after the couple wed in 2014. In 2019, their divorce was finalized.
The former couple also has five other children together: Zahara, Vivienne and Knox (all 14), Shiloh (16), Pax (18), and Maddox (20).
