William Linn and Carina Wisniewski McCue: Parents of 10-yr-old Georgia girl killed in house fire, arrested

A couple from Georgia has been taken into custody by the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Fugitive Unit and charged with false imprisonment and first- and second-degree cruelty to their children by the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Fugitive Unit.

After being on the run for approximately three months, William Linn McCue, 47, and Carina Wisniewski McCue, 38, were finally apprehended on Wednesday, June 29, following an investigation that lasted for a week.

The family’s house in Loganville, Georgia, was completely destroyed in April as a result of a vicious act of arson that also claimed the life of their daughter, who was 10 years old. Their son, who was 15 at the time, was taken into custody not long after the incident and charged with murder with malice as well as felony murder. He had admitted that he was the one who had started the fire on purpose in the house. It is presumed that the victim’s ashes were located in a room that did not have any windows and contained an improvised bed made out of a bathtub. The room was searched by firefighters.

William was working at the time of the fire, and a comprehensive search was carried out to locate the children aged 10 and 15. The front half of the house and the attic suffered significant fire damage, and it took several hours to put out the blaze before the children could be located.

Experts in arson and the Special Victims Unit (SVU) were called in after investigators developed a strong suspicion that the house fire was started on purpose. Following additional investigation of the crime scene, the authorities came to the conclusion that the house was in poor condition and that there was a possibility that the parents had been cruel to their five children.

It was discovered that the house was not fit for habitation due to the broken plumbing in the restrooms and the ineffective septic tanks. As the details of the crime came to light, a separate investigation into the parents was initiated, and the results of that investigation established that both the first and second degrees of cruelty had been committed. After that, the Gwinnett County Police Department immediately began searching for the McCue couple and even made a public announcement, asking for the assistance of locals after discovering that the couple’s most recent known location was in Norcross.

Foster care organizations from the state are currently caring for the couple’s other three children. It was discovered that the children had not attended school in a significant amount of time and did not know how to use toilet paper. A social worker mentioned in their testimony that there was evidence that they were kept inside for many years and “were not given adequate food.” This was mentioned in reference to the fact that there was evidence that they were kept inside.

It is currently unknown whether or not their son will still be required to serve appropriate punishment for the charges that have been brought against him in light of the fact that the couple has now been arrested.

Carina’s father, Timothy Wisniewski, had described the couple to The Daily Beast as “reclusive” and mentioned how he was “never invited into their house.” These comments were made during a conversation that Timothy Wisniewski had with The Daily Beast. When the children went out with him, he noticed that they were always well-groomed and friendly, and it was difficult for him to believe that they were actually living in the conditions that were described earlier. When he found out about the plumbing issues at their place, he expressed his surprise by saying it “baffled the hell out of him.” He had always assumed that Carina would ask him for assistance whenever it was necessary.
