A 51-year-old man from Albuquerque named Muhammad Syed was charged with killing two Muslim men.
Syed is thought to be a Sunni Muslim who is picking fights with Shiite Muslims. The murderer might know them and have taken these steps because of that. Edward Ahmed Mitchell, who is the National Deputy Director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), said that a Muslim in Albuquerque is in danger of dying because of what happened last week.
Some facts about the deaths of four Muslims in Albuquerque over the past nine months:
On August 5, 2022, the body of a 25-year-old Pakistani man named Naeem Hussian was found at the corner of Truman Street and Grand Avenue.
Muhammad Afzaal Hussain, 27, was killed on the sidewalk outside his apartment building on August 1, 2022.
On July 26, 2022, 41-year-old Aftab Hussein was shot and killed at 420 Rhode Island Ave.
Mohammad Zahir Ahmadi, 62, was found dead in the parking lot of his brother’s store on November 7, 2022.
Muhammad Syed is charged with killing two Muslim men
Syed is the main person who is thought to have killed two of the four Muslim men. The APD’s Public Information Officer shared the news on Twitter by retweeting it. They had said that APD detectives and FBI agents had caught Muhammad Syed, who they think is the main suspect in the recent murders of Muslim men in Albuquerque.
They wrote something and put it on the social page. On June 7, the police planned to search Syed’s home in Southeast Albuquerque. Syad, on the other hand, left the place in a Volkswagen Jetta. The Albuquerque Police Department found the car that was used to kill two Muslim men.
The case was also posted on President Biden’s official Twitter account. He wrote, “The horrible killings of four Muslim men in Albuquerque make me angry and sad. While we wait for a full investigation, my prayers are with the families of the victims, and my Administration stands strongly with the Muslim community.
“These hateful attacks have no place in America,” the president said. Detectives think that at least one of the murders was done by Syad. When they thought he had killed someone, they searched his house and car. As they looked into the case, they found more evidence that proved the man was involved in the murders.
The evidence, according to the officer, shows that the offender knew the victims. Syed knows them in some way, and the shootings may have been caused by a fight between them. Even at a press conference, Medina thanked everyone for helping them solve the case and make the community feel safe.
Before this, a former Corrections Officer named Elias Otero shot himself to death in his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Naeem Hussain died young after being shot and pronounced dead on Friday. The officer thought that the murder of a Muslim man on Friday must be related to the deaths of three other Muslim men in the past few weeks. All of the people who died come from South Asia.
Detectives quickly found a link between the recent murder of 27-year-old Muhammed Afzal Hussian and the earlier murder of 41-year-old Aftab Hussein. Both are born in Pakistan and follow the Muslim faith.
So, detectives aren’t sure if this case has anything to do with the other two murders. The agents have found the Vehicle and will pay $30,000 to anyone who gives them information about it.
Also, Andrew Burson was shot and killed on his way home from high school in Albuquerque after a fight with another teen.

Syed was accused of killing Aftab Hussein on July 26, 2022, and Muhammad Afzaal Hussian on August 1, 2022. He lived in two places where people were killed, and the police officer said that bullet casings found at the scenes tied him to both of them.
After looking through the house all night, the gun was found while shooting. “This has been a hard week for their community,” said APD Chief Harold Medina. Still, they all worked together to stop these crimes and protect a society that felt like it was being attacked.
