“We are profoundly grieved by the passing of Uma Pemmaraju, who was a founding anchor of FOX News Channel and broadcast on the day we debuted. Uma was a nice, charming girl who had a tremendous amount of talent as a writer. She was especially noted for being courteous to everyone she worked with. We send her entire family our sincere sympathies.

The cause of Pemmaraju’s death is unknown, and there is currently no information accessible concerning her funeral in great detail.

Fox News had employed Uma Pemmaraju since its inception.

On March 31, 1958, Uma was born in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, India. She grew raised in San Antonio, Texas, though, and attended Trinity University there before earning a Bachelor of Arts in political science there.

As part of an exchange program with Trinity University, she studied international relations for a year at American University.

During the beginning of her career, Pemmaraju joined KENS-TV and the San Antonio Express-News newspaper as a producer and reporter. She joined KTVT-11 as a news anchor and correspondent while serving as the editor of the student newspaper. Later, she held positions at Boston’s WBZ-TV, WLVI, and Baltimore’s WMAR-TV. She worked as a producer and correspondent for WBZ’s Evening Magazine.

She later rose to prominence on Fox News as the host and anchor of America’s News Headquarters with Uma Pemmaraju. She worked for Bloomberg News as a reporter as well.

She joined the Fox News staff in October 1996, just before the network’s debut. She interviewed famous people including the Dalai Lama, Buzz Aldrin, Carly Simon, Whoopi Goldberg, and others while hosting numerous shows and specials.

Boston magazine recognized Pemmaraju as Boston’s Best Anchor in 1996 and 1997. In addition to a Texas AP Award, the Woman of Achievement Award from the Big Sisters Organization of America, and the Matrix Award from Women in Communications, she received numerous Emmy Awards for her reporting and investigative journalism.

Around $4 million was thought to be Uma’s net worth. The majority of her fortune came from her work as a host and anchor.
