Christian Bono, Matthew Bono, and Nehemiah Turban were three young teenagers from Florida who were aspiring baseball players who tragically perished in a vehicle accident in 2020.
Christian and Matthew were brothers travelling down Southwest California Boulevard while the three were teammates on the same baseball team.
Who Was Florida-born Christian Bono?
Florida high school student Christian Bono was killed in a car crash along with two other teens, one of which was his younger brother.
Together with his brother, Matthew Bono, Bono played varsity baseball at St. Lucie West Centennial High School. Nehemiah, a member of the varsity baseball team at Treasure Coast High School, was another one of his friends who was hurt in the incident.

When discussing their teammates, the team members had nothing negative to say and were grieved by the sudden passing of one of their teammates.
When the catastrophe happened, Christian was just 16; his brother was 15; and his friend Turban was 16. They belonged to the same Little League travel team and were great friends.
Accidental Death of Christian Bono
Early in August 2020, Christian Bono and Nehemiah Turban died in a car accident, leaving his brother Matthew seriously hurt.
According to an inquiry into the collision, Christian, 16, was the driver and Turban, 16, was the passenger at the time of the collision. Authorities claim that Bono struck a power pole because he was travelling too quickly to navigate a little curve near Southwest California Boulevard and Southwest Heatherwood Boulevard.

While the 15-year-old kid was sent to the hospital with serious injuries and passed away on August 5 while undergoing treatment, the two youngsters in the front seats perished at the scene. Christian was travelling at a high rate of speed in a 2003 Toyota Camry, which led to him losing control and veering into oncoming traffic before colliding with the cement pole.
Funeral Notices for the Dead Teenagers
In an obituary for the lads and a memorial to the loss of their students, Christian Bono and Turban’s school wrote: “Absolutely, both of those young men made excellent guys. For both high schools and both programmes, it’s a terrible loss.”
A memorial for Christian and Turban was erected near the scene of the accident by friends, family, and teachers in honour of the deceased youngsters. The passing of the little children brought the entire town together to provide support and pay their condolences to the parents of the deceased.

Two weeks after the disaster, Bono and Turban shared a memorial service, and both teams mourned their lost players on the Little League field. A woman from their school organised a fundraiser to help the family out by raising $77,000 for the two boys’ funeral and hospital costs.
Friend of the family commented “I could never have predicted how this community came together. I’m really grateful to everyone for everything they’ve done. The ideal setting, Southwest Little League, the spot where it all started, allowed us to say farewell to these incredible guys.”
Added she, “More than they probably understand, these boys have affected a lot of hearts and are incredibly adored. They will be terribly missed.”
Nobody could have predicted the catastrophe that befell the Bono family, who lost two of their sons in the collision. The community’s homage to the boys was nonetheless of some assistance and comfort to the grieving family.
