How Did Anita Dunn Die?

Anita Dunn was a happy and active woman who lived in the Missouri town of Joplin. Even though she was an independent woman who worked at a local bank and was often the subject of rumors, her neighbors liked how kind and generous she was.

She also smiled at everyone she met and was always willing to help out. The show says that Anita was a well-known person in her neighborhood and that people still miss her today.

Who killed Anita Dunn and Where is Now?

On May 30, 2016, Anita’s landlord, Todd Greathouse, and his wife, Linda, went to the Joplin police to ask about her whereabouts.

It’s interesting that Todd said he hadn’t tried to find Anita until May’s middle of the day.

He even seemed to insist that the event might have something to do with a failed robbery.

In fact, after the police searched Anita’s house thoroughly, Todd pointed to a broken doorway and said that the house might have been broken into.

Police were not ready to accept Todd’s idea because there was no proof of a forced entry point.

Anita Dunn Murder

After law enforcement looked at the pings on Anita’s cell phone, they found an abandoned mine shaft full of stagnant water.

In order to find her body, the police set up an underwater camera and saw a body that was not hers and was being held down by some stones.

Then, divers jumped into action, and the victim’s body was pulled from the water not long after. After her death, an autopsy showed that Anita Dunn had been strangled.

Who Killed Anita Dunn?

It’s interesting to know that the day before Anita was reported missing, her wallet was found. It has Webb City’s address on it.

The report says that Anita had rented the Webb City house from Todd and his wife before.

But when the police asked Todd about his relationship with Anita, he didn’t say anything.

But the police weren’t happy with Todd’s answers, so they started looking for the body of the victim to prove their case.

After Anita’s body was found, the police realized that she had been strangled, so they worked harder to find out what happened.

During the investigation, police also found out that the tenant, Todd, had been convicted of second-degree murder in 1983 but had been released about eight years before Anita’s death.

Todd was also arrested in March 2016 for having a controlled substance while he was on parole in Missouri. He had missed court just a few days before committing his second crime.

But just a few days after the murder, the police got a call from a local pastor who said Todd had admitted to killing the man.

Investigators looked into the case quickly and found that Todd had told his wife and sister that he had killed Anita.

Later, his sister told her pastor what she had done, and the pastor called the police. So, Todd was taken into custody and charged with murder because there was enough evidence to do so.

What happened to Todd Greathouse?

Todd said in court that he had been unfaithful to his wife with Anita and killed her when she threatened to tell his wife. But Anita’s family has said that there is no proof that she had an affair. Todd was convicted of first-degree murder. In 2017, Todd was given a prison sentence with no chance of parole because of this. Since then, Todd has tried to get his sentence overturned, but his attempts have been turned down. Even though his prison records don’t seem to be available right now, Todd seems to be in a Missouri prison because he can’t fight his parole.
