AstroTwins ready to help people find love through cosmic love

Identical twins Ophira and Tali Edut, better known as AstroTwins, are respected astrologers for ELLE magazine with a global audience. The two will make their television debut on Cosmic Love on Prime Video, where they will assist singles in finding love using astrology and their stars.

On December 2, 1972, in Detroit, Michigan, Tali and Ophira, Israeli-American twins, were born 4 minutes apart at 10 a.m. and 10 a.m., respectively. Their particular upbringing, rich in cultural influences, equipped them for a life influenced by astrology.

At the age of 18, Tali won a competition that allowed her the chance to work for the renowned Sassy magazine, which even in the 1990s had a proud feminist attitude. The competition gave Tali the chance to serve as the issue’s Art Director, which turned out to be just what the Cosmic Love mentors needed—a crash course in media production.

The two founded HUES magazine in 1992 as a final-semester project for women’s studies. They wanted to make a place where women of diverse racial backgrounds, cultural backgrounds, sizes, and sexual orientations could feel appreciated and represented. Half-sized, black-and-white issues of HUES were published using university grants and local advertisements. It was offered at national newsstands a few years later, and in 1997 it was sold to New Moon Publishing in Duluth, Minnesota.

Ophira began working as an editor at Ms. Magazine after the two relocated to New York City, while Tali later started working for an activist group called Do Something.

The copy editor for Teen People Magazine observed Ophira as she was working on an article on their father’s transition to womanhood and requested that the Cosmic Love mentors take over their astrology column.

They quickly transitioned from astrology hobbyists to published authors of the subject. They received a request to create Astrostyle and introduce it on MTV. In 2008, the twins released their second book, Love Zodiac, and at the same time, they started contributing to ELLE magazine.

The AstroTwins have expanded their astrology business into a global platform that reaches millions of individuals over the course of the last 20 years.

The Edut siblings also publish their own yearly horoscope books and have published a number of other books. Their parenting manual, Momstrology, was a top seller on Amazon.

Early in 2020, the duo conceptualised Cosmic Love with Hudsun Media; in 2022, Amazon Studios acquired the project.
