Over the years, there have been several examples of disappearances. People going missing no longer come as a shock. Some people experience kidnapping, but some suffer considerably worse outcomes.

The globe has also been rocked by the Laura’s disappearance case. At the time of her disappearance, Laura was a toddler, and her situation is particularly peculiar.

Travis, Laura’s older brother, and she made their way to a nearby portable bathroom. Laura waited outside as Travis entered the restroom.

Laura was not in sight as Travis exited the restroom. 250 people were searching for Laura’s location as people began to check for her everywhere.

There were no leads in the hunt for Laura around the Indian Cove Campground despite the employment of dogs, horses, and helicopters. A sniffer dog followed her scent for around two kilometers before losing it. Before the official search was put on hold, only three days had elapsed.

The family of Laura, though, was confident they could locate her. They began their preliminary search for Laura and handed out flyers and t-shirts bearing her image. They also participated in radio and television debate programs, and the disappearance was twice reenacted during primetime.

One of the earliest missing children to be depicted on milk cartons was Laura, whose disappearance made national headlines. There were still no leads, though.

Laura had barely turned three years old when she vanished. People from all over the city were attempting to help find Laura after her case made national news.

The case lacked any leads. Witnesses reported seeing a man in his fifties driving a metallic blue van at Indian Cove Campground before Laura vanished. A similar-looking male was sighted at Burns Canyon a short while afterwards.

The sheriff’s office even engaged a hypnotist to try and elicit further details from campers who had seen the bearded, potbellied man and his car. After then, though, there were also no leads on the van.

Who Were the Parents of Laura Bradbury?

Patty and Mike Bradbury, Laura’s parents, gave birth to her. Travis Bradbury was her older brother, who was 8 years old.

The way the police handled the issue did not sit well with Laura’s parents, who decided to take matters into their own hands. They assumed that despite knowing Laura was missing, the police were doing nothing to assist.

Laura’s mother, Patty, died in 2001, and in 2010, her father, Michael, wrote a book about his daughter’s kidnapping called “Laura Ann Bradbury: A Father’s Search.”

Near the park’s western entrance, hikers found a skull in 1986 that they believed belonged to Laura Bradbury. The only thing we could infer from the skull’s features was that it belonged to a child, but the DNA did not match Laura’s.

Michael has been attempting to have the skull moved to a morgue so that he can claim his daughter’s remains, but he has been unable. Laura’s disappearance remains unexplained to this day.
