Episode 6 synopsis

Fidelity, the previous episode of Westworld Season 4, was written by Jordan Goldberg and Alli Rock and directed by Andrew Seklir. Charlotte spent the entire episode questioning Caleb’s most recent host copy to find out why he was the first outlier among humans. She informed him that Frankie was still alive and that his host body would continue to function for a few more hours.

When Caleb managed to escape from his detention facility, he uncovered the bodies of a prior host duplicate of himself who had perished while attempting to flee. He made it to the antenna and apologised to Frankie before passing out. Although Charlotte admitted to orchestrating his escape, she was unhappy to learn that his communication to Frankie had no information regarding how the outliers infected the hosts.

Then Caleb said that Charlotte had killed and replaced Caleb’s host since the self-destructive hosts were only trying to get away from Charlotte’s control. Bernard and Frankie also fixed Maeve’s body while moving her information to a more recent host control module.

Bernard forewarned Frankie that her teammate Jay had attacked her and that one of her teammates had been replaced with a host copy. Caleb apologised to Jay, but Maeve intervened and killed him.

Desa Larkin-Boutte and Denise Thé will pen Metanoia, the seventh episode of Westworld Season 4, under Meera Menon’s direction. The penultimate episode of the season will feature Bernard continuing to look for reasons to be hopeful for the freedom fighters, with Frankie/C and Maeve heading the effort.

Christina’s and Teddy’s stories in this war are still to be developed as the season finale approaches. This episode will undoubtedly lead to an explosive finish where Christina might derail Hale’s story.

Executive producers for the fourth season of Westworld include J. J. Abrams, Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy, Jerry Weintraub, Bryan Burk, Richard J. Lewis, Roberto Patino, Athena Wickham, Ben Stephenson, Denise Thé, and Alison Schapker. The season consists of eight episodes.
