Wanna Marchi was the most well-known person in Italy in the 1980s for television product promotion. Wanna Marchi: Who is she?
In Bologna, Italy, Wanna Marchi was born in September 1942. She came from a farming family and was one of 13 children. According to the program, Wanna married Raimondo Nobile when she was about 18 years old in 1961, and the two eventually had a daughter named Stefania and a son named Maurizio. The relationship wasn’t ideal throughout the years, according to Wanna on the show, and when he finally left for good, Raimondo attacked her.

According to the episode, they advertised lottery numbers and horoscopes under the pretense that Mario knew them.
Most of Wanna, Stefania, and Mario’s clients were elderly, retired ladies who were frequently persuaded to purchase items like amulets or rituals. In contrast to what they promised, none of the things like drug addiction, cancer, or other illnesses were cured by their products. A pattern of telephone operators attempting to persuade customers to buy more products was later identified by the investigation. The authorities claimed that Wanna would insult them and the operators would threaten them with awful things if they decided not to pay.

A sting operation conducted by the Italian television program Striscia la Notizia in November 2001 resulted in an exposé on Ascié’s business practices, which prompted the financial police to investigate the company. Origins of Wanna Marchi

The Career of Wanna Marchi
Between the end of the 1920s and the early 1980s, Wanna Marchi became well-known for the “call-and-response” television advertisements for dime-a-grow products based on tarassaco and other berries, with which, thanks in part to his unique communication style, he enjoyed considerable success.
Since 1983, she has sponsored a television program called the Wanna Marchi Show, which airs on Rete A every second Saturday and is produced with her children Maurizio and Stefania Nobile.
She employed an avowedly strident tone of voice throughout her televised performances, along with incisive and obvious gesticulation—a style that made her so distinctive that she was dubbed the “regina of televised performances” and “teleimbonitrice”. Judgement Procedures and Evidence of Wanna Marchi

The Incarceration and Confinement
The Marchi and the Nobile were sentenced to two years and six months of detention on April 3, 2006, in the case of aggravated theft before the Milano court’s first criminal section. The two women and the other accused were also ordered to reclaim some of the victims of the theft for a sum close to 40.000 euros.

It was announced on October 30, 2012, that the Marchi may be granted a temporary suspension of their sentence in order to care for their child who will have an amputation surgery. However, the Marchi’s own sentence’s completion date will still be September 15, 2015.
