Gossip Girl Season 2 Episode 24 (Valley Girls): Plot, Cast, Review, Where To Watch and More

The 24th of the second season is titled “Valley Girls.”

While shoulder bolsters may come and go, a BFF remains. Because knowing you’re not traveling alone is helpful, even when you’re not sure where you’re heading. No one has all the answers, and maybe the most we can manage is to offer an apology and let the past pass.

Other times, we need to look ahead and remember that life can still surprise us and that we can still surprise ourselves, even when we believe we’ve seen it all.

Gossip Girl Season 2: Recap

Blair worries about Serena’s well-being in jail as Lily leaves a car at the police station. Nate finds it unbelievable that Lily went to the police station to get Serena released after her own mother had her jailed.

Vanessa learns about Rufus’ unsuccessful proposal attempt from Dan and Jenny at the apartment. They swiftly shift the conversation to prom and how they’re going to skip it as he enters the room.

Rufus replies that the investment is over because Lily got Serena arrested when Dan inquires about it. Then he advises that they remain neutral and let them resolve it on their own.

Lily had flashbacks of her own legal run-ins when traveling to meet Serena while back at the police station. She discovers that Serena had contacted CeCe to save her when she sees Serena.

The following day, Lily queries CeCe about her continued presence in the area. When CeCe inquires as to why Lily is so enraged with her, Lily responds that it is because she informed Rufus of their kid.

She claims that Rufus had a right to know when she becomes defensive. Eric interrupts and says that their son has passed away. Then Lily claims she’s going to start Serena’s recovery process by bringing her breakfast in bed, but Eric and CeCe claim she isn’t at home.

Blair queries Serena at the Waldorf’s as to why she’s still incarcerated. Serena reveals that Lily made the decision to remain on her own because she didn’t believe she was old enough to make her own decisions.

They hang up after she bids Blair luck at the prom with Nate. Blair is informed by Dorota that her dress was destroyed by the dry cleaners but that a replacement was sent from Paris.

When Blair opens the box, she is shocked to realize that it resembles the prom scrapbook she created when she was a little girl.

Chuck is informed by Nate that the florist is out of peonies, his limo has been booked out, her dress has been damaged, and his hotel reservation has been canceled. Chuck adamantly denies sabotaging the man’s plans when he is asked if he did.

Gossip Girl Season 2: Plot

Lily informs CeCe at the VDW’s that she wants her to leave her house and never return. Lily responds to CeCe’s accusation that she is to blame for all of her issues by saying she doesn’t take responsibility for anything.

Carol didn’t turn out that well, says CeCe, because she was ungrateful for her affection as well. Lily responds that Carol’s life doesn’t seem all that horrible from where she is right now. Later, Dan phones Lily and asks her to find out how furious Serena is with him for not getting a response to his messages. Lily responds that because she is still incarcerated, she hasn’t seen his messages.

Dan informs Jenny that he will require a dress for prom after they hang up the phone. Lily goes to the police station to formally dismiss the charges against Serena but is informed that she has left. Constance’s prom has already started.

Penelope, Hazel, Isabel, and Nelly greet Nate and Blair when they arrive. They invite them to choose the Prom King and Queen, which Blair objects to—at least, until she finds out that she and Nate have been nominated and that there will be a tiara.

The minions leave and talk about how they’re going to rig the prom queen vote so Blair loses to Nelly. Chuck, however, hears their plans without their knowledge. As they ride to prom, Serena gets ready in the backseat and Dan apologizes to her for telling Lily.

She thanks him for ending the pattern of horrible parenting, and he thanks her for allowing him contact CeCe to save her. Lily goes to chat to Rufus in the loft.

She replies that she never aspired to be like CeCe and inquires as to if he was planning to pop the question. She knows that he didn’t respond because of how he felt about her after what she did to Serena. She is unpredictable, according to Rufus, and that was fun when they were younger.

Lily recalls a confrontation with her mother and comes to the conclusion that she will unavoidably make the same errors as CeCe. Rufus counters that she should also forgive CeCe despite the fact that she will never change, saying that she should forgive Serena for defying her.

Lily tries to kiss Rufus after thanking him for his assistance. He tries to kiss her, but backs off and says he’s glad they can communicate, but he’s not sure about everything.

Gossip Girl Season 2: More Details

We must admit that when the first season of “Gossip Girl Reboot” began, we weren’t all that enthused. This skepticism was sparked by the idea. When the first season of “Gossip Girl” aired in 2007, one of the most “restaurantry” television series ever made its appearance.

It was about the lives of the wealthy and privileged individuals and the methods they employed to uphold their social hegemony.

“Gossip Girl” was most definitely not one of the best shows to be based on such a topic. But what made it famous and still does now is the tenacity of its characters. Observing a group of teenagers with trivial issues presented in the most “Tolstoy-Esque” manner was amusing and fascinating.

As we’ve gotten older, better material and age have pushed us to reassess our affection for the program, turning it more like a guilty pleasure than anything else.

We might have been persuaded to give the first season a shot because of that. We were surprised to find that, to be honest, we kind of liked it. But as the series went on, we came to understand that we had only been enjoying the show as a feeble parody of the original.

Only teenagers or those who still have a teenage spirit should watch this program. The little social problems that were a hallmark of the prior program are still present, but this hasn’t changed in the second season.

Valley Girls: Review

Lily is seen driving a car on the Malibu, California, shoreline on April 16, 1983. She makes a pit stop and phones her father, Rick Rhodes, at the Rhodes Records office. Once she has him on the phone, she extends a lunch invitation because she is in Los Angeles.

He inquires as to why she isn’t in Santa Barbara for school, but she brushes it off and replies that they will meet at his preferred eatery. She reads the letter informing her parents of her expulsion from her boarding school after she hangs off the phone.

Lily enters the eatery and joins Rick at a table. She acknowledges that Christmas was strange without him, and he laughs before apologizing for having to miss it. She begins to talk about getting expelled from school, but he cuts her off by saying he already knows.

He confesses that CeCe told him when Lily asks how he knows. CeCe shows up at that point and takes a seat at the table. She and Rick exchange chilly greetings before she tells Lily that Rick was successful in getting the school to allow her to return.

Lily, who is shocked, explains that she wanted to be kicked out so she could be with her father. She worries that she won’t be a part of his life when she grows up, but he tells her that won’t happen.

Additionally, he claims that he is too preoccupied at work to raise her and that he must leave town that evening for business. As he departs, he gives her a final kiss.

He warns her to stay away from the city so she won’t end up like her sister, Carol, as she runs after him. Lily claims that while she understands that she shouldn’t end up like Carol, she won’t do so because she lacks the desire to forge her own path.

The valet then brings Rick’s car to the front, and he departs, telling her he’ll call her when he gets home. It’s time to go home, says CeCe as she leaves the establishment.

Lily promises to follow her back, and the two of them get into their own automobiles. Lily travels in one way while CeCe travels in another.
