Suri Holmes, the daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, just made her acting and singing debuts in the latter’s new movie Alone Together. According to reports, Suri performed the cover of Blue Moon that plays throughout the movie’s opening credits.
Holmes is the writer, director, and co-star of the love drama Alone Together with Jim Sturgess. Suri is incredibly talented, and Holmes said in a statement to Yahoo! Entertainment about her daughter’s musical debut that she loves to direct brilliant people:
“I always seek for talent at the greatest level. I then asked her. She has incredible talent. I gave her the freedom to do what she pleased after she promised to do it and videotape it. I always direct in a same manner. This is what I believe we all desire, so do what you want.
Holmes also revealed to the outlet that this is not her daughter’s only appearance in a musical production; last year, she also provided her voice for a song in the upcoming movie Rare Objects.
The movie we shot last fall, “Rare Objects,” featured her singing. She is a 16-year-old student in high school, other from that.

In 2013, Tom Cruise sued Bauer Media for $50 million for defamation after one of its magazines allegedly falsely claimed that he had abandoned his daughter. The question of whether Holmes sought a divorce “in part to shield Suri from Scientology,” a controversial religious movement, infuriated the actor even more. He stated:
No need to shield my daughter from my religion, I say.
Holmes reportedly responded as follows when asked by the lawyers if his relationship with Scientology was the reason he had split with Cruise:

At the time, TMZ said that Cruise allegedly made notice of Holmes and Suri’s lack of religious observance. If accurate, his daughter qualifies as “suppressive,” a phrase commonly used to describe those who quit the Church of Scientology and are “shut off” from their family members who are still Scientologists.
After the divorce between Cruise and Holmes, the former was granted visitation privileges to see his daughter 10 days a month. Until Suri turns 18, the court further mandated that he pay $400,000 annually in child support as well as her tuition and medical costs.
According to several accounts, the actor and his daughter have now been separated.
Along with Isabella and Connor, Tom Cruise and his ex-wife Nicole Kidman have two other kids. Both are said to be Scientologists and are still close to the actor. Additionally, they recently posted on social media about his movie Top Gun: Maverick.
