In the end, Fushi, together with Kahaku and Eko, makes it to the city of Renril after enduring a lengthy period of introspection as well as other tests.

To Your Eternity Season 2: Why Did Kai Join the Uralis Army?
When Kai and Fushi finally get the chance to have a conversation in peace with one another, Kai shares with Fushi the story of when he was younger and lived with his grandfather in addition to his father.
It’s interesting to note that his father used to make a living for the family in the little town by working as a weaponsmith.
During that time period, they were in the practice of producing weapons that were tailored specifically for the Uralis Army.

But when he saw Nokkers wrecking havoc in the small town where he resided, Kai for a brief second imagined that they were about to save him from the wretched life he was leading.
When he arrived there, he found his father attempting to coax his mother away from the house where they were staying. But at that point, the Nokkers attack the house, and the three of them end up getting buried under the rubble.
Thankfully, Kai is able to live with only a few minor wounds. Both his father and his grandma escaped unscathed, which is another stroke of good luck for the family.
Kai is confronted with the eerie realization that the Nokkers were not there to save him as they had been in his fantasies about them.
All he could see in front of him was people in pain and misery offering assistance in whatever way they could. He could do nothing except watch.
Following the assault, a young Bon traveled to the quaint town and extended an invitation to any of the residents who wished to travel to his home. This was the chain of events that ultimately led to Kai becoming a member of the Uralis army.
Unfortunately, in the years that followed, both his grandma and his father passed away. After some time has passed, Kai comes to the conclusion that he was extremely fortunate that the Nokkers were unable to kill him.
Had they been successful, Kai would have perished an unnecessary death harboring an immature hatred against his father in his heart.
He shares with Fushi that about that time, he began getting the impression that life is something to be cherished for as long as one can.
This was in stark contrast to his prior mindset, which he developed throughout his adolescent years. At that time, he desired nothing more than to escape his unhappy life, even if it meant taking his own life.
To Your Eternity Season 2: Fushi and his Friends
After finishing his conversation with Kai, Fushi is directed by Eko to focus on a cloud of dust in the distance. Soon after, Kai arrived there and informed him that the pot people are extremely sensitive to changes in their environment.
Because he believes that this presents a fantastic opportunity for them to earn the trust of members of the community, he asks Fushi to accompany him on his visit to the location. When the two people proceed to check the location, they find that a house that desperately needs to be reconstructed has just just come apart.
In order to resolve the issue, Fushi assumes the persona of the Booze Man and completes the task on his own later that day. When the news reaches the queen, she is astounded to find that not only was the water wheelhouse repaired overnight, but that it was done so by a single man.
In the meantime, the entire community is discussing the miracle renovation and the outsiders who were responsible for getting it done.
It is obvious that Brian’s Base anticipated that “To Your Eternity” would be a hit because they started production on Season 2 so swiftly after the conclusion of the first season.
