The Interest of Love: Trailer

Two delightful pairs of main characters. A chemistry of tension and release. This has essentially become the template for the majority of romantic comedies, and Korean dramas are hardly an exception.

A recent Korean drama titled “The Interest of Love” explores the concept of bank workers looking for love and comfort at their place of employment by focusing on their attempts to do both. However, is it successful or does it fall short of expectations? Let’s find out.

Yoo Yeon-seok, best known for his role in Hospital Playlist, plays the role of Ha Sang-su, a handsome manager at KCU Bank whose only redeeming quality is that he is an ice hockey player.

On the other hand, Mun Ka-young plays the role of Ahn Soo-young, a service representative at the bank who is well-known for having a complicated family history.

Keum Sae Rok is playing the role of Park Mi-kyung, the new assistant manager, while Jung Ga-ram portrays Jeong Jong Hyun, the security guard at the bank who is training to become a police officer.

Both of these roles are taking place at the same time. The show addresses love and the portrayal of the everyday difficulties of a bank employee through the lens of a microlens, despite the fact that it has too many stories running in parallel.

The scripting of the show appears to be predictable and formulaic, with the character arcs being based on specific archetypes.

A bank worker who is unable to show his affection for the girl he loves, the girl who acts as if she couldn’t care less about him, and the extreme awkwardness that ensues between the two of them. This is a scenario that has been told many times before in Korean dramas, with much more in-depth character development.

The Interest of Love: Plot

Even if the celebrity cast and the performances are outstanding, the script is not nearly as strong, which severely undermines them. When working from a specific screenplay, an actor only has so much creative freedom. Yoo Yeon-seok is a great actor, and he does a great job of fitting the role of Ha Sang-su.

However, his performance alone is not enough to make the audience care about his character. The same may be said about Mun Ka-young, who is unable to make the audience feel compassion for Ahn Soo-young.

After being isolated by Covid, Hong Kong is trying to attract tourists by giving away 5 lakh free aeroplane tickets.

The concert moves at a glacially sluggish pace, and there aren’t nearly enough intense moments to make the duration feel worthwhile.

The episodes are over an hour long, but there isn’t nearly enough action to justify that length. The quality of the show’s music has been below par so far. It’s possible that we won’t notice much improvement in the show until the upcoming episodes air, but returning to it right away seems like a difficult proposition.

The programme does a good job of capturing the aesthetics of the business world, which is one of the things it does well. However, the novel is not nearly as interesting when adapted to its most basic level.

Netflix now has “The Interest of Love” available to watch online.

Yoo Yeon-seok, Mun Ka-young, Keum Sae-rok, and Jung Ga-ram star as the main characters in the Korean television series titled “The Interest of Love,” which is a romance drama. The series was directed by Jo Yeong-min.

The television show is based on the novel written by Lee Hyuk-jin and Sarangui Ihae. Insider, starring Kang Ha-neul, will no longer air on JTBC on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10.30 PM KST, a period that has been taken over by this new series.

Love develops between the staff members working at the Yeongpo branch of KCU Bank, who, although coming from a variety of different backgrounds, discover in one another both love and the meaning of love.

Will they discover the devastating side of their love, which will cause them to demolish all they have created and everyone they know, or will they find out that their love will develop in beautiful ways? How much effort are they willing to put in for the people they care about?
