A more energetic performance from her would be what one would hope to see, something more close to how she portrayed Erica Sinclair in the Netflix series Stranger Things. Instead, many of her lines have the feel of being rehearsed, and she does a lot of telling rather than showing.
It’s one of the more boring Halloween movies that’s been released so far this year, which is a real shame.
This is the most significant flaw in The Curse of Bridge Empty: the most of it is, in a word, hollow, with a few endearing qualities thrown in here and there.
