Additionally, throughout the nearly 7-minute call, Anderson can be heard repeating, “I don’t know what to do, I don’t know what to do,” and “oh Lord, I don’t know why I did it.” Near the end of the ring, he even felt bad about ruining the telecommunicator’s evening. He also said he needed to go to a mental hospital because of how much blood was on his hands.
The 911 operator gave Anderson instructions to wait for the cops on a chair near his front door; curiously, he obeyed. After the phone call, he was arrested without delay and charged with murder.
