Starman: Who Was He?

Starman was a Mexican professional wrestler who was active as a tecnico in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) beginning in 1996. He was born on December 16, 1974, and passed away on September 23, 2022. The public did not know what Starman’s real name was, which is typical for masked wrestlers in Mexico, where their private lives are typically concealed from the wrestling fans. Starman’s real identity was not a matter of public record.

Career of Starman

Beginning his career on April 30, 1994 in Naucalpan under the stage name Ultramán Jr., he made his first public appearance. He was fortunate enough to acquire the mask of Tortuguillo Karateka IV, one of the Ninja Turtles, while he was stationed in Naucalpan. By 1995, he had completed his first trip of Japan and was competing in Pro Wrestling Fujiwara Gumi in July of that year. In November of 1995, he joined forces with Solar and Super Astro for the first time in order to reestablish the Cadetes del Espacio. The original Cadetes, which included Solar, Super Astro, and the first Ultramán, were a well-known and well-respected high flying squad in the early 1980s. Soon after that, he began competing in freestyle wrestling for the Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL).

Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre

On January 23, 1996, he made his debut in CMLL by defeating Fiero, America, and Linx while teamed up with Alacran de Durango and Olimpus.
Later on, he participated in a tournament for the CMLL World Welterweight Championship that was held in Block B. Karloff Lagarde Jr. defeated him in the first round of competition. In October of 1998, in order to avoid getting into legal difficulties with the original Ultramán, he changed his name to Starman (not a relative). Even before he made his debut, the person who had the original rights to the name had been in conflict with him.

Following that, he decided to go by the name Starman. On the undercard of CMLL’s 1999 Ruleta de la Muerte pay-per-view event, he made his first appearance in a “major show” by teaming up with Astro Rey, Jr., El Oriental, Tigre Blanco, and Mr. guila, but they were defeated by Zumbido, El Satánico, Valentin Mayo, Virus, and Rencor Latino. This was his first time competing in a match of this magnitude. On March 17, 2000, he participated in another major show alongside Tigre Blanco, Mascara Magica, Astro Rey, Jr., Antifaz, Tony Rivera, Safari, and Olimpico. Despite their best efforts, they were unable to defeat Arkangel de la Muerte, Dr. O’Borman, Ultimo Guerrero, Zumbido, Rencor Latino, Mr. Mexico, Violencia, and Rey Bucanero. On January 1, 2001, he transformed into Ultraman Jr. once more, only to be defeated by Arkangel de la Muerte in a match that took place on a Japanese card that was co-promoted by Atsushi Onita. This disappearance of the mask was never acknowledged or even brought up in his native nation at any point.

In 2005, Starman returned to Japan to compete in wrestling, this time in the New Japan Pro-Wrestling promotion (NJPW). Since his return, he competed in his first match and was defeated by the Japanese icon Tiger Mask. After a number of months, he eventually competed on the undercard of CMLL events again.

Starman’s Death Cause

The wrestling organization has not yet provided any information regarding the cause of death at this time.

Medico topics have been reaching out to the family and relatives of the victim in an effort to get their perspective on the situation. To this far, we have not received any responses. When sufficient new information becomes available, the page will be updated by us. In the near future, additional details regarding Starman’s cause of death will be added.

Since 1984, the man who wears the pink bodysuit known as Starman has been shrouded in a cloud of secrecy.

Since the release of the first Pro Wrestling video game for the NES in 1986, we have acquired very little information on him. We are not familiar with his ring name. We’ve never seen his face. Even more mysterious is the location of his birth. His nationality is listed as Mexico, although his bio for the game includes a question mark after the name of his country.

The allure of the fictitious wrestler relies heavily on the presence of intrigue. The human mind is forced to wonder just who is hiding behind the mask, which is ornamented with a large blue star.

The Beginnings of Starman

Starman started his career in 1994 under the moniker Ultraman Jr. (he had no relation to the original Ultraman), but he eventually changed his name to Starman, which is how he became recognized. He kept his team’s appearance remarkably close to that of the legendary Japanese figure.

After receiving instruction from Arturo Beristain (Talisman-Son of the Gladiator), he launched a successful career in the zone that was independent of Mexico. Even joining Solar and Super Astro in their efforts to reorganize the Space Cadets was not enough for him.

In 1996, the EMLL began to fight, and at that time he was known as Ultramán Jr. but later changed his name to Starman. During a trip to Japan in 2001, he once again participated as Ultraman Jr., but this time Arkangel de la Muerte stole his mask. However, he went back to masking himself in Mexico as Starman.

Since that time, he has remained a member of the CMLL. As a result of injuries and other personal issues, he quit wrestling in 2019, although he came back the next year.

His most recent bout, which took place in August of that year, took place while he was working in a variety of capacities at the Doctors Colony organization in 2021. Subsequently, he appeared in a few roles as an independent actor in 2022. Among the masks of the Tortuguillo Karateka IV, Fiero, and the Son of the Sign that he won for these roles are on his list of winners.
