What is full of SRM University?
SRM University full form is Sri Ramaswamy Memorial University.
SRM University is a private university located in Tamil Nadu. It was earlier known as SRM Institute of Science and Technology. It was established in 1985 as SRM Engineering College Kuttankulathur under Madras University.
Now, this university has four campuses in Tamil Nadu, which include Ramapuram, Kuttankulathur, Tiruchirappalli and Vadapalani.
Apart from this, Modinagar near Delhi, Sonepat in Haryana and Gangtok in Sikkim are also campuses of this university.
During the academic session of 2003-2004, it was given the status of Deemed University and its name was changed to SRM Institute of Science and Technology.
In 2006, it became an SRM University under Article 3 of the UGC Act 1956. SRM Engineering College has been ranked 7th in the list of India Today-Nielsen Best 25 Engineering Colleges Survey 202016 in India.

SRM university JEE Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification- Applicants must have passed class 12 or any other equivalent examination or should be in his/her final year
Required Subject- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology)
Marks Obtained- At least 50% marks in class 12
Domicile – Indian citizens belonging to any state can apply, foreign nationals can apply under the NRI category
SRM University Placements:-
6 thousand students of SRM Institute of Science and Technology have got job offers. This information is given on the website of the institute. This year the institute has got very good placements.
Most of the students have been offered jobs by IT companies. The biggest package is 41.6 lakhs annually which Microsoft has given. Apart from this, Amazon offered jobs to 18 students whose annual package is 32 lakhs.
Here Barclays offered a package of 10 lakhs annually to 25 students. At the same time, startup firm Udaan offered a package of 30 lakhs annually to 4 students.
Four big IT companies- TCS, Infosys, Cognitive and Wipro have offered jobs to 4,749 students graduating in 2020. There has been better placement this year as compared to last year. Last year 3,020 students got placements.
TCS made 1,437 job offers. At the same time, Infosys has made 1,315 job offers, Cognizant 1,175 and Wipro 822. In addition, TCS made 183 job offers under the ‘digital track’ (7 lakhs annually).
