Explained: Sophie Devereaux’s Real Name on Leverage: Redemption, Plot, Premiere Date, Cast, Meme, Review, Where To Watch & More

There is a compelling reason why no one is aware of Sophie Devereaux’s real name, the grifter of the white hat criminal squad in Leverage and Leverage: Redemption. In Leverage, a former insurance fraud investigator named Nate Ford and his crew of crooks who battle injustice are shown. Timothy Hutton plays Nate. Leverage: Redemption continues up years later, without Nate, and with Sophie played by Gina Bellman taking the stage. Each member of the gang assumes a different identity as part of their scams, but Sophie is the most adept at it because she has made a profession out of disguising herself as others.

Leverage: Redemption, What Is Sophie Devereaux’s Real Name?

The fact that Sophie Devereaux is not her real name becomes apparent right away. In Leverage season 3, after genius Nate Ford gets released from prison, there is a recurring joke that Sophie has revealed her real name to the team, which frustrates Nate because they all won’t tell him what it is. Nate proposes to Sophie and refers to her as Lara in the season 5 and series finale, “The Long Goodbye Job,” seemingly implying he has discovered her real identity. You do realise that Lara is not my real name, don’t you, Sophie says afterwards. Given her line of work, Sophie places a high value on privacy. There is a reason, though, from a purely practical perspective, why Leverage never solved this enigma – in the event that the show lasted past the original finale.

The majority of the cast will return for the forthcoming season, including,

They’ll make a significant comeback, upping the tension, with a special combination of skills to bring to their squad. The writers have decided to alter the plot because Timothy Hutton’s Nate Ford won’t be returning to the programme after being accused of sexual harassment. Ford will be shown to have died a year before to the start of the new plot. Harry Wilson and Breanna Casey, played by Noah Wyle and Aleyse Shannon, respectively, will be joining the cast. In addition to them, Lucy Taylor, Brittany Chandler, and John Hans Tester will also make an appearance in Leverage: Redemption.

Leverage: Redemption Plot

Leverage: A year after Ford’s passing, redemption takes place. When Harry Wilson has a customer who is engaging in the questionable behaviour, the original team is contacted for aid; however, they must first persuade Sophie, who has long ago retired, to rejoin the game.

Leverage: Redemption won’t attempt to reinvent the wheel; it will stick to the same basic framework as the previous series, but with new character dynamics and tactics that the characters can use.

Aldis Hodge plays Alec Hardison, a hacker who left the team early in the season, in the Leverage: Redemption sequel. As it turned out, Hardison had to be dropped from the programme early due to Aldis Hodge’s increasingly demanding schedule. It was still early in his career when Hodge, just 20 years old, accepted the role of Hodge in Leverage. Since the end of the series, Hodge has been in a number of movies, and his career has continued to grow.
