Caruso was nominated for a Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Production for her performance in the off-Broadway play The Nether at the MCC Theater in 2015. As a result of this performance, she got the award.
In the latter part of that year, Caruso made her debut as the character “Girl” in the musical Lazarus by David Bowie at the New York Theatre Workshop in Manhattan.
