Meet The Spouse of Scott Moir, Jaclyn Mascarin and Their Newborn Daughter
Prior to making their marriage publicly known, Scott Moir and Jaclyn Mascarin kept their relationship with each other a closely guarded secret for a number of years.
During a news conference for the Olympics, the ice dancer who had previously competed described his former partner as a wonderful person. However, prior to the announcement of his engagement, Moir’s name was linked with that of Tessa Virtue, who is his skating partner. This happened before the news of his engagement became public.
Together with Tessa Virtue, he has garnered a number of accolades and victories, including the gold medal in the team event at both the 2018 and 2014 Olympics.
They are the first ice dancers in history to complete a Super Slam, which means they have won all of the major international competitions in both their senior and junior careers. They are widely regarded as one of the best ice dancing teams of all time.

In June of 2022, newlyweds Scott Moir and Jaclyn Mascarin exchanged their vows in front of family and friends.
The COVID-19 outbreak caused the couple’s wedding plans to be put on hold for a period of two years after they got engaged, but they were finally able to go through with the ceremony.
It appears that they dated for a considerable amount of time before getting engaged in 2019. Although he mentioned having a skating partner prior to Virtue, he and Mascarin kept their relationship a closely guarded secret until they went public with it. Virtue was the only person who knew about it.
According to the book that Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir wrote together titled Tessa and Scott: Our Journey from Childhood Dream to Gold, prior to working professionally with Virtue, Moir had been ice-dancing with another female partner.
Moir was Virtue’s first skating partner, and it was together that the two of them finally achieved recognition on an international level.
After sharing the news that he was engaged with the public, the 33-year-old Olympic gold medalist took to Twitter with a humorous tweet in which he expressed his desire to find a wedding date.
On the 8th of August, 2019, Virtue thanked her followers for the kind words they had shared and joked that she was looking for a plus one to accompany her to the upcoming wedding of Scott and Jaclyn.
Scott and Jaclyn’s Marriage
Two years after the engagement, the couple exchanged vows and became husband and wife.
Moir made the announcement of his engagement to Jaclyn Mascarin during the Hometown Star Ceremony for the Canada Walk of Fame in August of 2019.
The wedding was finally scheduled for June 24, 2022, after being pushed back several times due to constraints imposed by COVID-19.
Tessa Virtue is the athlete that Scott Moir hopes will serve as an inspiration to his daughter.
The three-time ice dance Olympic champion Scott Moir reportedly admitted to having a daughter, as reported by Maya Bagryantseva, a journalist for Sports.ru.
In an interview, Moir stated that the child was seven months old at the time of the interview. Therefore, it is possible that his daughter was born in April of the year 2021.
The young girl is now one year old, and her father has shown a high level of parental guardianship over her despite the fact that no posts or photographs from his private life have ever been made public.
On the other hand, he asserts that Tessa Virtue, with whom he skated in a duet from 1997 until 2018, evolved into a role model for his daughter in his dreams. This occurred during the time period in question.

Scott Moir’s Skating Family
In Ilderton, Ontario, where he was born into a skating family and raised by his parents Alma (née MacCormack) and Joe Moir, Moir learned to skate at an early age.
He had his first experience on skates when he was three years old, and his mother encouraged him to try figure skating so that he could become a better hockey player. He kept playing at a high level of competition all the way up until he was a teenager.
In 2004, Moir made the move to Canton, which is located in the state of Michigan in the United States, in order to work with Igor Shpilband and Marina Zueva. After competing in the 2014 Winter Olympics, he went home to Ilderton, Ontario.
Marie-France Dubreuil and Patrice Lauzon served as his coaches during the final two years of his amateur career in Montreal, Quebec, where he relocated in 2016. During those years, he and his partner, Tessa Virtue, trained together.
Scott Moir’s Brothers
Moir is the youngest of three sons, and his older brothers are Danny Moir and Charlie Moir. Moir is the youngest of the three. He was reared in a family that was deeply rooted in the sport of figure skating; his mother and aunt both worked as coaches, and both of his older brothers had been successful figure skaters in the past.
Sheri Moir and Cara Moir, his cousins, represented Canada at the World Synchronized Skating Championships in 2007 while competing as members of the NEXXICE team.
After competing in the Olympics in 2014, Moir went on to graduate from the secondary school he had attended. He received his secondary education both at Medway High School and at AMDEC, an electronic learning high school.

Retirement of Scott Moir
After winning gold in South Korea, they have decided to retire.
Tessa and Scott made the conscious decision to take a break from the ice, but they were unable to do so for a considerable amount of time. They were convinced that retirement was just around the corner, but they couldn’t bear the thought of not being able to skate with each other.
As they got ready for the Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang in 2018, they realized that coming back was something that came easily to them. This time around, they were skating for themselves rather than because they felt compelled to show off their abilities.
Tessa and Scott made the difficult decision to retire from figure skating after winning the gold medal in South Korea so that they could focus on living their lives away from the ice instead of continuing to pursue a career in the sport.
Following his retirement as an ice dancer, Moir began a career as a coach.
After the conclusion of his competitive career, Moir began working as a consultant coach on a part-time basis with pairs such as Lajoie and Lagha.
In addition to that, he has created choreography for a number of pairs and teams, such as Fournier Beaudry/Sorensen and Hubbell/Donohue, as well as for the singles skater Nicolas Nadeau.
On February 2, 2021, it was disclosed that Moir had been selected to lead the Ice Academy of Montreal campus opening in London, Ontario’s southwest region, as well as serve as the managing director of the institution. This news came about as a result of Moir’s previous experience with the institution.
A few days later, it was reported that two members of the American team, Christina Carreira and Anthony Ponomarenko, would be leaving their coaching positions with Igor Shpilband to begin working with Moir instead.
