On Tuesday afternoon, May 24, a disturbing video appears to have captured gunman Salvador Ramos as he entered an elementary school in Texas. (Facebook)

A horrifying video appears to show shooting suspect Salvador Ramos entering a Texas elementary school and murdering several children and two teachers.

The gunman allegedly started fire at Robb Elementary School in the city of Uvalde around 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24, after exchanging gunfire with border patrol authorities and barricading himself within the school grounds. Authorities later verified that 18-year-old gunman Ramos killed 19 children and two instructors after reportedly murdering his own grandmother before the rampage.

All eyes will be on the NRA-ILA Leadership Forum as the gun group comes under fire following the slaughter at the Uvalde school.

Local resident Elsa G Ruiz provided video footage on Facebook of a man who looked like the suspect, clothed in dark attire with medium long hair, heading inside a school building with what appeared to be a pistol. “This is at Robb, as my girls just texted it to me. I’m praying for the kids and the staff “In the caption, Ruiz wrote:

The attacker was taken into custody just after 1 p.m., but the Uvalde Police Department later announced that he had been shot and killed by responding policemen. It’s worth mentioning that the school shooting on Tuesday afternoon was the deadliest since the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy in Connecticut, which killed 20 pupils and six adults.

Two gallant teachers, Imra Garcia, 46, and co-teacher Eva Mireles, 44, were among the victims on Tuesday, who gave their life to protect the students. Xavier Lopez, 10, Makenna Elrod, 10, Eliahana ‘Elijah Cruz’ Torres, 10, Rogelio Torres, Uziyah Garcia, 8, Amerie Jo Garza, and Neveah Bravo were among the students who died.

Following the massacre, President Joe Biden demanded action on gun regulations. “It’s just outrageous that an 18-year-old child can walk into a gun store and buy two assault guns,” he says. “I hoped I wouldn’t have to do this again if I became president.”

Ramos was born in North Dakota and raised in Uvalde. Before working at Wendy’s, he was a student at Uvalde High School. The shooter apparently sent a terrifying message to an acquaintance on Instagram hours before the massacre, saying, “I’m about to.” Ramos is said to have shot his grandmother and left her in critical condition before going on his rampage, as previously stated. Governor Greg Abbott stated of Ramos, “It’s thought he abandoned his vehicle and entered the Robb Elementary School in Uvalde with a handgun and he may have also had a rifle, but that is not yet confirmed according to my most current information.” “He shot and killed 14 pupils and a teacher in a horrible, inexplicable manner.”

The two assault guns used in the massacre were apparently purchased by the shooter on his 18th birthday, according to Texas State Senator Roland Gutierrez. People aged 18-21 who obtained a protective order for being at risk of domestic violence, stalking, prostitution, or sex trafficking could buy guns under a new Texas law passed in September. The requirement for a handgun permit was eliminated from the statute. In Texas, rifles were already legal without the requirement for a license.
