Rent A Girlfriend Season 2 Episode 5 Recap

After spending the evening with Ruka, Kazuya returns home to find that his room is quite a mess, and he realises that he needs to clean it up. He is taken aback when he opens the gate of his apartment complex in order to take out the trash and sees that Chizuhara is also going to do the same thing. Chizuru is perplexed as to why Kazuya is acting so bewildered while the two of them exchange hello. As she leads the way, Kazuya fights the urge to let his emotions get the best of him. Their brief encounter does not go according to plan, despite his expectations that she does not know that Ruka spent the night at his place. He had hoped that she would not be aware of Ruka’s presence.

Chizuru tosses her garbage and begins to make her way away from the scene as Kazuya follows in her footsteps to do the same thing. But all of a sudden, Chizuru swings around and asks him if Ruka stayed the night before at his flat. “Yes,” he replies. The unexpected question leaves Kazuya speechless, and she is unable to even formulate a sentence that makes sense in order to respond to her interrogator in a way that is plausible. Chizuru recognises his reluctance and politely requests that he not fabricate a lie in order to justify anything. Just before she is about to go, she mutters in exasperation that every man is the same way and that she should not be surprised by it.

In the meantime, Kazuya makes an effort to catch up with her and reveal the truth to her. Chizuru, on the other hand, rushes into her flat and immediately shuts the door behind her without even pausing to hear what he has to say before she does so. Kazuya has high hopes that he will be able to convince her that he did not have sexual relations with Ruka the night before because he loves her more than anyone else in the world. Because Chizuru’s birthday is coming up in a matter of days, he makes the decision to explain everything to her and buy her a present as a thank-you for the help and encouragement she has provided him over the past few months.

Unfortuitously, he has never before purchased a gift for a girl, therefore he has no idea what to get Chizuru as a present because he has never done so before. As a result, he decides to rent Sumi for a day so that he can consult with her about various issues. The two went shopping after taking several shots together with their cameras. Even though Sumi seems to be enjoying herself, Kazuya manages to take her by surprise by asking her what she thinks would be a good gift for Chizuru. Sumi is upset since he wanted to chat about another girl when they were out on their date.

Despite this, she makes the decision to assist him in any way that she can. She brings Kazuya to a children’s show in which a hero is pitted against a band of bad guys. It turns out that Chizuru is masquerading as the girl in the pink costume, but at first he is oblivious to the fact that this is the case. Kazuya is astounded by the fact that in addition to working as a rental girlfriend and attending acting school, she also finds the time to work other jobs in order to put money toward pursuing her ambitions.

Rent A Girlfriend Season 2 Episode 5 Ending: What Does Kazuya Give to Chizuru As Birthday Present?

Due to the fact that Sumi does not speak very much, Kazuya feels that she is trying to tell him that she wants him to use the kids show as a clue to select the ideal present for Chizuru. Kazuya is in awe of her tireless efforts to fulfil her ambition of becoming an actress. As a result, he thinks that any present for her that takes that aspect into account will be the one she will adore the most. Later on, Sumi musters up all of her bravery to further explain that the monetary value of a present is not the only factor that determines its significance; rather, the emotional connection between the giver and the recipient is just as important. Before Kazuya travels back home, he expresses his gratitude to Sumi for all of the assistance that she has provided to him and wishes her well.

Chizuru eventually makes it back to her apartment later that evening and has a little conversation with her grandma over the phone. After such a long day, all she wants to do is unwind. As a result, she decides to take a shower before going out onto her balcony to get some air. She is taken aback to discover a gift there, and there is no question in her mind that it was sent by Kazuya. She walks back to her room, opens the package, and discovers a note inside. In that note, Kazuya showed his appreciation for all of the assistance that he had received from her and even mentioned the fact that nothing had transpired between her and Ruka the night before.

After reading the note, she continues to open the present and discovers Japanese salted plums inside. It would seem that they assist people relax, making them an excellent choice for someone like Chizuru who works an excessive amount of hours. While Chizuru appears to be pleased with the gift, Kazuya, who lives in the flat next door, is having a panic attack over how she could respond to the gift.
