Owachige Osceola: How Did She Die? Her Murder Explained

Owachige Osceola’s Cause of Death
At the time of her murder, Owachige Osceola was just 27 years old, and according to stories, she was a Seminole chief’s daughter from Florida. Owachige went through a divorce and relocated from Anadarko, Oklahoma, to Norman to start over just before she lost her life. People who knew her described her as a kind and giving person who loved to help others and always had a grin on her face, despite the fact that she lived alone in an apartment in Norman. She was also generally friendly in her interactions, which made it even more difficult to accept her sudden demise.
A number of Owachige’s friends traveled to Norman in September 2013 since they were unable to reach her on the phone. The pals arrived at her flat and immediately discovered that the front door had been forced open, raising suspicions. On top of that, when they knocked, no one opened the door. So they quickly dialed 911 and requested that Owachige’s wellbeing be checked by the police.

In addition, when they entered the bedroom, they found a body under a blanket on the bed. Owachige’s body was quickly identified, and the police pronounced her dead. The victim’s entire body was bruised, and while the scene indicated that there had been a struggle, detectives also discovered wounds on the victim’s neck. Even so, the cause of death could not be determined by the autopsy, and the medical examiner did not classify the death as a homicide.

The Case of Owachige Osceola
In Norman, Oklahoma, on September 25, 2013, Norman Police checked on the wellbeing of the residents at Ridgecrest Court. Friends of Owachige (27) were worried since they couldn’t get in touch with her.
Owachige was a Florida-based Seminole Indian and a direct descendant of Chief Osceola. She was the mother of a little daughter and had recently divorced. To start over, the two had relocated from Anadarko to Norman, Oklahoma. The girl was staying with her father when Owachige was killed. He wasn’t ruled out as a suspect, but I haven’t read that.

The Norman Police Department’s Detective Ryan Bruehl and his partner arrived at Ridgecrest Court. Police were greeted by Owachige’s buddies in Anadarko, an hour’s drive from Norman. They revealed what they knew to them. They arrived to find Owachige’s door had been forced open, no communication with her, and an odd Facebook message. All of the buddies from Anadarko were cleared of suspicion. what about the door’s shoe prints?
Det. Bruehl entered with his companion. The majority of the bedding was scattered across the floor in what seemed to be the bedroom, according to Bruehl. “It appeared to me that a disturbance had occurred in that bedroom.” What about the remaining portions of the apartment? Owachige was located in a bedroom on the second floor. Her body had already begun to partially decay and the upper torso of her body displayed evidence of trauma. Her body was covered by a blanket. I wonder if she had anything in her lips or under her fingernails. Did she make that blanket at home?

After hearing nothing from Owachige and seeing the message “Moose is tryna KM” on Facebook, her pals became concerned. Despite how unsettling this letter is—”Moose is trying to kill me”—and the fact that Owachige knew someone by the name of Moose, this person has now been ruled out as a suspect. solid defense.

Who was Owachige Osceola’s Killer?
It’s interesting to note that the police discovered “Moose” as a person of interest in the hours after Owachige’s death was found. Moose was a continuous contact for Owachige. According to the podcast, Owachige had withdrawn $500 the day before her murder and posted on social media about how Moose was supposedly trying to kill her. However, it turned out that “Moose” had a strong alibi and was permitted to leave.
The police then disclosed they had a suspect they thought was responsible for killing Owachige a few months into the inquiry. The autopsy prevented investigators from making an arrest even though the suspect has remained unidentified to this day because it could not establish the way of death as a homicide. In addition, video surveillance revealed that “Cocaine Rob” was seen exiting his vehicle at Owachige’s residence on the day of the murder. However, because the cause of death was never established, the inquiry dwindled over time, and the murder was labeled a “cold case.”
According to reports, the case was revived in 2017, and after reexamining the material, the authorities were certain that Owachige had been murdered. Additionally, the investigating officer sought the assistance of a federal medical examiner’s office in Maryland, which came to the conclusion that Owachige was murdered. The Oklahoma district attorney’s office, however, declined to accept the evidence when it was submitted by the police and defended the initial autopsy findings.
Unfortunately, the investigation has been quite challenging and the authorities haven’t found many leads because the case hasn’t been formally labeled as a homicide. But now that Owachige’s death is getting a lot of attention, her family and the Seminole tribe of Florida have written to the police pleading with them to do justice. Although a suspect has not yet been found or apprehended, the police are urging anyone with information to come forward in the hopes of giving Owachige’s loved ones the closure they so desperately need.
