The battle between Luffy and Kaido has finally returned to One Piece, but it is going differently than fans had anticipated. In the previous episode, we saw the CP0 boss attempt to divert Luffy’s attention away from the ongoing fight. As a direct consequence, Kaido delivers a devastating blow to the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates. After that, we see Luffy lying on the ground, while Kaido is distraught at the recent events, mainly how Luffy’s expressions were similar to Oden’s. After that, we see Luffy on the ground.

Now, every fan of One Piece is curious about how Luffy would get back up to confront Kaido after he was knocked down. The solution will be available to us next week, but several leaks hint at essential things happening in the next chapter.

One Piece Episode 1043: Spoiler

The events of One Piece episode 1043 begin just where the last episode left off, with Luffy being injured by a blow from Kaido’s kanabo. The Yonko keeps his expression of disbelief even while his opponent screams out in agony. While the CP0 boss accepts his fate by looking at the ground, he is bruised and beaten, and his eyes are rolled back in his head.

The following image is a bird’s-eye view taken from above, and it depicts the sole surviving member of the CP0 team looking up at the roof in response to the disturbance. The appearance of steam coming from Luffy’s mouth indicates the completion of Gear Fourth, as Kaido stares on with an expression of obvious disgust. After looking at Onigashima, Momonosuke reveals that he can no longer hear “Luffy’s voice.”

The effects of Gear Four have rendered him entirely helpless, and he is currently napping. In the series, he is likely more vulnerable than ever. After then, the narration states that, as of the 1043rd episode of One Piece, Kaido has triumphed in the fight on the Rooftop. He then asks the leader of CP0 if he is aware of what he has done, but the commander does not respond in any way.

In the past, X-Drake could score a severe blow against the last remaining CP0, but he was defeated in a single attack by the agent and lost consciousness. Unaware of the conflict above, the Flower Capital prepared to launch the sky boats. The battle between Luffy and Kaido continued on the Rooftop of the Skull Dome, with Luffy giving it his best until his strength ran out. He can alter the course of his attacks, which Kaido claims rubber is incapable of doing, yet, he exploits this ability against Luffy and eventually adopts it himself.

Kaido Demands to See Momonosuke

The events of chapter 1043 take place in the wake of the interference caused by the CP0 agent. As Luffy is being crushed beneath the weight of the onslaught, Kaido brings his kanabo down, his face contorted in agony and sorrow as he does so. This causes the ground around Luffy to shatter. Rocks are flying all around them as black lightning crackles around them. As Kaido’s hold on Luffy becomes tighter, the agent looks down, his eyes obscured by the darkness, and the pirate hacks up blood. Luffy is currently located at the heart of a massive crater that has been created. As Luffy’s vigor escapes his body in the form of a cloud of smoke, shooting his body into the air once more, Kaido watches the scene with a mournful expression on his face.

Momonosuke reports that he can no longer hear Luffy’s “voice” and that he is below. When Luffy’s body hits the ground, only Kaido and the CP0 agent are still standing. Neither of them can move. In a dialogue box, it is revealed that Kaido is the winner of the competition. He locks eyes with the agent and acknowledges that the agent is aware of what will happen next. As Kaido lifts his kanabo yet again, the agent remains entirely still, and neither speaks nor moves. Bursts of black lightning encircle the Skull Dome, and smoke can be seen rising from the top of the structure, but the assault itself is never observed.

As a result of the power of the onslaught, more rubble falls from above, coming dangerously close to crushing a group of combatants. The CP0 agent who gave the order observes in silence from a window, aware that their colleague has been receiving Kaido’s wrath. While Kawamatsu watches the rubble fall, one samurai warns that the ceiling is about to cave in. According to Kawamatsu, thousands of their troops are still trapped inside the blazing castle. As there is no means to put out the fire, he is powerless to do anything but watch it and pray that everyone will be able to get out of there unscathed.
