My Southern Family Christmas: Filming Location

My Southern Family Christmas, recorded in Ascension Parish, has a sneak peek preview on the Hallmark Channel website ahead of its premiere on November 24 at 7 pm.

The Town of Sorrento is mentioned in one of the character’s comments in a brief movie clip. A short trailer is also present on the website.

The narrative’s protagonist is a writer who accepts an offer to cover a Pere Noel Christmas event in Louisiana, where she first encounters her estranged father and his new family.

As previously mentioned, several well-known actors appear in the holiday film shot at the Cajun Village and Coffee House in Sorrento. The company was closed from September 21 through September 23 for filming and is situated at the intersection of Highways 22 and 70.

Jaicy Elliot, Bruce Campbell, Moira Kelly, and Ryan Rottman are among the actors who appear in the movie, which Daniel Lewis of Evergreen Films, a family-owned and independent production business with headquarters in Covington, previously published.

The film’s working title was “Family Christmas,” and its creators believe it would benefit Ascension Parish and the greater Baton Rouge region. They had previously promised to use the names of neighborhood landmarks and companies.

Hallmark published the following synopsis of the upcoming film in late September: “Under the pretense of a journalist, Campbell gets a chance to meet her biological father for the first time — without his ever realizing who she is. She learns that families are complicated, extraordinary things as she spends time with him, his family, and the town’s record keeper. In the end, Campbell will have to choose between keeping her identity a secret and telling her father the truth, which will affect how their family celebrates Christmas moving forward.

My Southern Family Christmas: Trailer

Bruce Campbell charmed viewers of the Hallmark Channel with the holiday-themed original film One December Night last year, and he returns this year with My Southern Family Christmas.

On November 24, the Hallmark Channel will debut the first episode of My Southern Family Christmas.

Campbell has the chance to meet her biological father for the first time in the upcoming Hallmark Christmas film, “Under the Mask of a Journalist,” without him ever realizing who she is. She learns that families are complicated, extraordinary things as she spends time with him, his family, and the town’s record keeper.

In the end, Campbell will have to choose between keeping her identity a secret and telling her father the truth, which will affect how their family celebrates Christmas moving forward.

Additionally included are Brian McNamara, Ryan Rottman, Moira Kelly, and Jaicy Elliot.
