On December 8, 2021, he was added to the COVID-19 reserve list after testing positive. He was removed from the COVID-19 list on December 18 and added back to the active roster two days later. Sweat sacked quarterback Jalen Hurts in Week 15 against the Philadelphia Eagles and also caused a fumble, which Landon Collins recovered.
