It is so cinematic in comparison to what is going on back at the ranch, and because we are used to the old way of life, it feels so new because of how familiar it is to us.
Again, this is not to imply that this is a negative aspect of the series; rather, it is simply what we are aware of concerning it.
If 1923 had been the beginning of the Yellowstone universe, we may be thinking about things differently; nonetheless, given that Yellowstone Ranch serves as our home base, the Africa arc is really intriguing.
The undeniable fact that it has not been used before is one of the primary reasons why people are interested in it.
Because of a show like this, we are familiar with the inner workings of the Dutton family, and even if we are now meeting new people, they are still members of the Dutton family with whom we have become accustomed to spending time over the course of several years.
But why is Spencer packing his bags and moving all the way to Africa instead of staying in the United States? This is intriguing since it appears to be connected to the psychological distress he endured as a result of the conflict.
Although the fact that he is Kevin Costner and John Dutton’s uncle is the only piece of knowledge we have on his future, it does not prevent us from speculating about what the future may hold for him.

- When compared to what we are already familiar with about the series, returning to Africa and finding out more about Spencer’s circumstances is a welcome change of pace.
- We are taken to a new location and introduced to whole new people, yet the Dutton family continues to serve as the overarching theme throughout.
- I just do worry that it means that something is going to happen to Spencer because as we watch this series and learn more and more about these Dutton kids, they all seem to just peter out with no kids because we don’t see them existing in Yellowstone at all.

- I really hope that we get to see more of Spencer and Alexandra’s tale and that the series keeps returning to it before it eventually converges with the main plot back home as it unavoidably will.
- The storyline between Spencer and Alexandra is just getting started. Because this portion of the series feels more like its own movie and an entirely other world from the Yellowstone Ranch, I will happily keep coming back in until we learn more about Spencer.

- The show may, at times, feel very much like the same drama mixed with new individuals tossed in, and the Africa arc presents a different landscape for the Duttons to handle, even if it is only Spencer there on his own at the moment.
