Michael Chernus was born on August 8, 1977 in Rocky River, Ohio, to parents Barbara Jo and Richard Louis Chernus. His full name at birth was Michael Louis Chernus. The man’s father was of mixed Hungarian and German ancestry.

Michael’s interest in sports kept him from even considering a career in acting while he was still in school. He participated in basketball for his school and was on the team.

When he saw the movie “Rocky,” which starred Sylvester Stallone, everything in his life shifted. As he was leaving the theatre, he made the decision that he wanted to pursue a career in acting.
