LEONARDO DEL VECCHIO’S (ITALIAN BILLIONAIRE) NET WORTH DEATH OBITUARY

Leonardo Del Vecchio, one of Italy’s wealthiest people and the founder of the eyewear company Luxottica, died at the age of 87, according to the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.

At the time this was written, no one knew what killed him.
Another report from the Italian outlet says that when Leonardo dies, his money will be split between his six children, who he had with different people.

Leonardo net worth

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Leonardo was worth an estimated $33 billion when he died.
Luxottica is said to be the biggest company in the world that makes and sells glasses. It owns well-known brands like Ray-Ban, Oakley, and Sunglass Hut.
Leonardo’s brand began in a small workshop in the northern Italian town of Agordo in 1961. The workshop made parts for other companies.
In time, the brand started making its own sunglasses and, over the next few years, bought up a lot of big eyewear companies.
Leonardo owned 61.9 percent of Luxottica, which was more than anyone else. He also had shares in the companies Covivo, Mediobanca, and Assicurazioni Generali, all of which are based in Italy.

ITALIAN BILLIONAIRE PASSES AWAY

In a statement, Leonardo’s company said, “With deep sorrow, (the board) announces the death of president Leonardo Del Vecchio and expresses its deepest condolences to the family and to all employees around the world for this huge loss.”
The billionaire’s first wife, Luciana Nervo, gave birth to three children, and his second wife, Nicoletta Zampillo, gave birth to a fourth child.
Even though he didn’t get married to his third partner, Sabina Grossi, they had two kids together.
His children are Claudio, Marisa, Paola, Leonardo Maria, Luca and Clemente.
HITC wants Leonardo’s family and friends to know how sorry it is for their loss.

Leonardo’s life, a classic tale of a poor boy gets rich

He was born into a poor family, and his mother sent him to an orphanage when she could no longer take care of him. When he was only 14, he got his first job.
Leonardo worked at a factory that made parts for cars and glasses. He used the money he made there to pay for design school.
When he was 25, he moved to Agordo and opened his own business. Now, his brand has stores all over the world where thousands of people work.
