Willow Stanley’s Parent Jo Stanley

Willow Stanley is the daughter of Jo Stanley. She was born in 2009, but Jo and her husband, Darren, had challenges because their child had a cleft palate at birth.

When the child was still in the pregnancy, the doctors had warned them that she might not be healthy. The couple, nevertheless, faced challenges and welcomed their daughter.

She was identified as having severe obstructive sleep apnoea at the age of six months. It is a breathing ailment that occurs during sleep and causes breathing to stop and start.

Jo revealed that at the time, her baby experienced 40 episodes of insufficient oxygen per hour. She continued by saying that her child, who has experienced numerous difficulties since she was a child, is a walking miracle.

Her cleft palate was also healed after they gave her many treatments. In the year 2022, she has begun high school and is now 13 years old.

Jo shared her worries about raising a teenager as a mother. She discussed how she regularly talks to her daughter about respect in an article for House of Wellness.

She had already admitted that she had been a bad parent in The Sydney Herald Morning. Willo, who was eight at the time, was described as charming, courteous, and nice by her mother. She was concerned that if she did not alter her parenting style, her child might develop into a loner narcissist by the time he or she turned 20.

As a result, the ambassador for Stop it at the Start interacts with her daughter about the little things that happen in her everyday life and talks to her about what it is to be a person. She also teaches her about respect.

Joanne McFarlane (née Bailey), better known by her stage as Jo Stanley, is an Australian comedian and television and radio host.

From 2016 to 2017, Stanley hosted Jo & Lehmo on Gold 104.3. From 2003 to 2013, she presided over The Matt and Jo Show on Fox FM and Weekend Breakfast on the Hit Network.

On Clever, Temptation, Australia’s Brainiest Kid, The Panel, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Thank God You’re Here, The Project, Studio 10, and Hughesy, We Have a Problem, Stanley has made guest appearances.

With Jodie J. Hill on Fox FM on Sunday nights, Stanley launched her radio career. Jodie & Jo, a highly popular program on Fox FM, was then shifted by Jo and Jodie to the mornings. Boob Tube, a comic variety show produced by RMITV and aired on Melbourne’s community television channel Channel 31, was hosted by Stanley and Hill in the late 1990s.

Jodie & Jo joined Triple M in 2003 and hosted a radio show there called The Whole Shebang for the remainder of the year.

Tracy Bartram left the Fox FM breakfast program in late 2003, and Stanley took over. Matt Tilley, Craig Bennett, and Adam Richard formed Matt, Jo, and Benno with the Fabulous Adam Richard. It was renamed The Matt & Jo Show after Bennett left the show only a few months into 2003. When the program concluded in November 2013, it had the most viewers of any breakfast program in Melbourne and had dominated the FM share for more than 40 polls (5 years). Fifi & Dave took the place of the program.

Prior to entering the radio industry, Stanley appeared live with the Melbourne comic troupe The Toasted Marshmallows, afterwards known as The Gorskys. The Man Bites God duo Liam Cody and Chris Tomkins were also present on The Gorskys. She has also appeared on Thank God You’re Here and performed live alongside Jodie J Hill in a number of Melbourne International Comedy Festival events.

Stanley was chosen to present Weekend Breakfast in January 2014. Currently, every Saturday and Sunday from 7-9am, the show airs nationally on the Hit Network in Australia. On Gold 104.3’s breakfast with Lehmo in November 2015, Stanley was introduced as Brigitte Duclos’ replacement. Jo & Lehmo began on January 18, 2016. In November 2017, after the show’s ratings success, it was announced that Christian O’Connell will take over as host in 2018.

Reason  Jo Stanley Known For

Jo Stanley, who was born and bred in Melbourne, shot to popularity in 2003 as one half of the witty and endearing breakfast radio team The Matt & Jo Show on Fox FM. Jo had ten successful years of breakfast radio with comedian Matt Tilley; at their height, the pair had the most listened-to radio program in the nation, spending an incredible six years at number one.

Famous for their humor and genuine honesty, the duo routinely converted average listeners into celebrities by facilitating the sharing of their tales. They also interviewed some of the largest individuals in the world and broadcast live from some of history’s most pivotal occasions. The Matt & Jo Show bid their listeners a heartfelt farewell at the end of 2013, capping off a highly successful ten years on the air.

Jo then co-hosted Weekend Breakfast for two years on Southern Cross Austereo’s Today Network, which was carried to 52 stations nationwide. In 2016, Jo teamed up with Anthony “Lehmo” Lehmann on Gold 104.3 to create a new breakfast program, Jo and Lehmo. The on-air connection between Jo and Lehmo was evident as the show’s ratings grew steadily, culminating in the show ranking as Melbourne’s No. 1 FM breakfast show in November 2017—the station’s highest performance in more than ten years.

After 14 tremendously successful years in breakfast radio, Jo said goodbye to the early morning radio mike at the end of 2017 and enjoyed some well-deserved sleep-ins.

Jo has featured on all Australian television networks and is currently a co-host of Channel 7’s The House Of Wellness, where she likes to share her enthusiasm for mindfulness, meditation, gratitude, and self-compassion. She also routinely contributes to Sunday Life Magazine, The Project on Ch. 10, and the Play Like A Girl book series, which follows an Under 11 girls’ soccer team, for readers between the ages of 8 and 10.

She spoke as a guest speaker at Radio Days Europe in Vienna, and she also spent an hour on stage conducting an interview with Sarah Jessica Parker for Chemist Warehouse.

Jo has been certified by the Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership as a trained and skilled 1:1 Executive Coach. She has been coaching for four years and brings to each session her expertise as a media business leader, post-graduate in management studies, and supporter of mindfulness, enabling her to be innovative in her coaching style.

Jo is an advisor to the Victorian Minister for Women and a member of the Ministerial Council on Women’s Equality. She is also an ambassador for Smiling Mind, patron of Wellsprings for Women, which offers services and programs to immigrant and asylum-seeking women, and patron of the Lighthouse Foundation, which provides housing and ongoing, devoted support to young people who are experiencing homelessness.

In 2020, Jo will take over as host of the Macquarie Media Network-produced House of Wellness radio programme, which airs live every Sunday at 8am AEST. Jo will also co-host a section with Eddie McGuire on Triple M’s Hot Breakfast one morning per week.

Don’t hold it against Jo that she loves her daughter Willow, her husband Daz, exercise, meditation, and the Collingwood Football Club.
