JEE Advanced 2022 Exam Details
JEE Advanced 2022 Exam Mode: The exam will be held via online computer-based mode.
Paper: There will be two papers as Paper 1 & Paper 2.
Language: Question paper will be held in English & Hindi medium Language.
Exam Date: The date for registration for JEE Advanced 2022 is 1st week of June 2022. The last date to submit the application fee is the 2nd week of June 2022. Admit card availability for candidates is from the 2nd week of June 2022. The examination date of JEE Advanced 2022 is during the 3rd week of June 2022.
JEE Advanced 2022 Exam Syllabus
The major or important topics from each subject for JEE Advanced examinations are stated below:
Chemistry
Physical Chemistry: General Tips, Gaseous, and liquid States, Atomic Structure and Chemical Bonding, Energetics, Chemical Equilibrium, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Solid State, Solutions, Surface Chemistry, and Nuclear Chemistry.
Inorganic Chemistry: Isolation/Preparation and Properties of Non-Metals, Preparation, and Properties of the following compounds, Transition Elements, Ores and Minerals, Extractive and metallurgy, Principles of Qualitative Analysis.
Organic Chemistry: Concepts, Preparation, properties, and reactions of alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, Reactions of Benzene, Phenols and Carbohydrates, etc.
Mathematics
Algebra: Algebra of complex numbers, Properties of Logarithms, Permutation and Combinations, AP, Geometric and Harmonic Progressions, Quadratic Equations.
Matrices: Equality, Addition, Multiplication by a scalar and product of matrices, Solutions of linear equations in two or three variables.
Probability: Computation of Probability of Events using Permutation and Combinations, Bayes Theorem, Conditional Probability.
Trigonometry: Trigonometric Functions and Equations, Multiple and Sub Multiple Angles, Relations between sides and angles of a triangle.
Differential and Integral Calculus: Derivative of a function, implicit functions and limit/continuity functions. Integration by substitution and partial fractions, formation of ordinary differential equations.
Physics
General: Methods of measurement and error analysis for physical quantities pertaining to specific experiments. Least count, significant figures.
Mechanics: Uniforms Circular Motion, Relative Velocity, Newton’s Law of Motion, Work and Power, Law of Gravitation.
Thermal Physics and Modern Physics: Thermal expressions of solid, liquid and gases. Atomic Nucleus, Fission and Fusion Process, Photoelectric effect, Moseley’s Law.
Electricity and Magnetism: Electric Current, Magnetic Movement of a current loop, Electromagnetic Induction, Coulomb’s Law, Capacitance.

JEE Advanced 2022 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates need to fulfill each of the eligibility criteria tabulated below in order to qualify for JEE Advanced 2022 examination. JEE Advanced 2022 Eligibility Criteria has been relaxed. Students/Candidates who were not able to appear for exam in 2020-2022 due to COVID-19 and have qualified JEE Main are eligible to directly appear for the examination this year.
Candidates need to register for JEE Advanced 2022 separately and pay the registration fee as well. Some basic eligibility criteria of JEE Advanced 2022 are stated below:
- Performance in JEE Main matters if you want to appear in JEE Advanced, candidate should have secured a rank among the top 2,50,000 candidates.
- Age limit of candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1996 and five year relaxation will be given to SC/ST/PwD candidates.
- Candidate can appear in JEE Advanced Exam maximum two times in two consecutive years.
- Appearance in Class 12th Examination is must. Candidate subjects in 12th should be Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Criterion 1 – Performance in JEE Main 2022
Candidates should have compulsorily passed JEE Main 2022. It is also necessary for them to be among the top 2,50,000 candidates. The categories will be divided as the following:

ST – 7.5%

OPEN – 40.5%
-
PwD – 5% horizontal reservation in all of the above.
