IIT JAM 2022 Exam Details, Syllabus and Eligibility Criteria

IIT JAM 2022: Which is known as IIT in short? JAM exam is organized at the national level by IITs. This exam is conducted to get admission in M.Sc, Combined M.Sc-Ph.D, M.Sc-Ph.D.

To get admission, students start preparing for many months in advance, even after some students are declared unsuccessful, this definitely gives information that the level of examination is high.

 

What is IIT JAM 2022?

The full form of IIT JAM is the Joint Admission Test for Masters. IIT JAM (IIT JAM 2022) is a national level Joint Entrance Examination. The marks obtained after passing this exam.

On the basis of those marks, admission is provided in IITs and IISc. After getting admission one can study M.Sc (Four Semesters), Combined M.Sc-PhD, M.Sc- M.Tech, M.Sc-PhD, Dual Degree and other courses.

 

What is IIT JAM 2022 Exam Details?

IIT JAM Exam is conducted in three parts. Questions related to Biological Science, Mathematics and Geography are asked in the first part and questions related to Technology (Bio-Technology), Chemistry, Geology, Mathematical Statistics are asked in the second part.

All the questions in the third part are of numerical type. The question paper consists of a multiple-choice question with only one correct answer.

Multiple choice questions with multiple correct options and numerical answer type questions are asked.

What are the Eligibility Criteria of IIT JAM 2022?

  • The candidate should be a graduate.
  • Should have 55% marks in graduation.
  • 5 Percent relaxation to Reserved category candidates.
  • This percentage is not rounded off.
  • That is, if your percentile is 54.5 then you will not be eligible.
  • You can also give this exam in the final year of graduation.
  • In this case, your marks of two years are counted. But it is necessary to bring minimum marks after graduation.
  • There is no upper age limit for the IIT JAM Exam 2022.
  • Friends, in which stream your graduation should be, every institute has different criteria for this.
