Fans of The Legend of Zelda are probably familiar with Ganondorf, the series’ most prominent villain; however, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (heretofore colloquially known as BOTW 2) may see the return of the franchise’s most powerful villain, Demise. This information was gleaned from the game’s official description. The major antagonist of the Zelda series, Demise, made his first appearance in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword as the game’s final opponent. It was later discovered that Demise was the one who gave birth to Ganondorf and was Hylia, Link, and Zelda’s first primary adversary. Demise sacrificed his body in order to have his hatred reincarnated along with the reincarnation of Hylia and the hero. Hylia’s reincarnation was also present. Ganondorf, also known simply as Ganon, appears in a number of different games in the Zelda series. His hatred takes the form of this villain.
Even though Demise was vanquished at the end of Skyward Sword, this does not necessarily indicate that he has been vanquished for good. The Zelda series has a history of including villains who make return appearances, thus it is possible that Demise will appear again in a future game. Ganondorf is certainly the most well-known of them given to the enormous number of games in which he has made an appearance; yet, he is by no means the only one in the series. The wind wizard Vaati has also made an appearance in several titles, such as Zelda: Four Swords (which would be ideal for a rebirth on the Switch) and The Minish Cap, after having presumably been vanquished by one of Link’s incarnations. Breath of the Wild 2 might be where some villains make a surprise comeback, and one of them could be Demise. Nintendo has demonstrated that it is comfortable bringing back adversaries that have been defeated in prior games, and this could be the case.
Even though both The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and its predecessor, Breath of the Wild, are unquestionably set in Hyrule, it is not always clear which iteration of Hyrule they are depicting when playing either game. There was a period when Skyward Sword was considered to be the first game in the series, however this was before Breath of the Wild was made available to the public. There are Easter egg things from Skyward Sword that can be obtained in Breath of the Wild, however there are also other Easter egg items that clash with each other and make it impossible to utilize these artifacts to determine where the game takes place in the chronology. In light of the fact that the events of Skyward Sword might take place before the events of Tears of the Kingdom, or even in a timeline in which the events of Skyward Sword never happened at all, it is completely feasible that Demise is still alive and doing well.
There is a chance that Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will bring back the “Demise” mode.
Aside from the uncertainties around the timeline, there is also the possibility that Demise will be resurrected in some fashion during the events that take place in Tears of the Kingdom. It is highly likely that some low-level villain is now looking for a way to bring back Demise, much like Zant did in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess when he attempted to bring back Ganondorf. Zant’s plan was to bring Ganondorf back from the dead. When Demise was locked away for the first time by Hylia, he became known as the Imprisoned One. Eventually, his servant Ghirahim from Skyward Sword was able to free him from his confinement.
Even after disclosing the game’s official name, Nintendo has kept the majority of information concerning BOTW 2 under wraps, making it difficult to speculate about the company’s future plans. It’s possible that Ganon will turn into Calamity. It is clear that Ganon intends for Demise to return merely due to the fact that the reincarnation process is faulty. Fans will simply have to be patient until The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is finally released on May 13, 2023. This is the date that has been officially announced.

However, if someone with a heart that does possess a balance of the three virtues of Power, Courage, and Wisdom gathers the power of the Triforce together, it can grant any wish that its user desires.
In spite of the fact that their identities and histories change from game to game, the various incarnations of Link and Princess Zelda share many characteristics. For example, Link is frequently associated with the color green and has a dominant left hand, and Princess Zelda is frequently a member of the royal family. On occasion, the player can discover fairies concealed in particular places; these fairies can either instantly heal Link or be preserved in empty bottles, and they will bring the player back to life the following time they die.
