Early years

Willoughby was born in Brighton, East Sussex. She is the younger of two daughters of Brian Willoughby, a sales manager for a double-glazing company, and Linda Willoughby (née Fleming), a former air hostess.

She went to the independent Burgess Hill Girls school in West Sussex and The College of Richard Collyer in Horsham for her education.

In 1995, Willoughby was 14 years old when talent scouts saw her at The Clothes Show Live. They signed her with the Storm Management modeling agency. She was in magazines for teenage girls like Mizz, Just Seventeen, Shout, and More! Willoughby started modeling bras, underwear, and tights in 1998, when she was 17 years old. Career

Willoughby won an audition for S Club TV, a show on CITV with S Club 7 that aired in 2000. In this show, the actors played a different S Club.
