On Saturday night at 8:50 p.m., police were called to Revesby’s Weston Street after reports of two shootings. Fadlallah was found dead at the scene with serious wounds. Hazzour was in bad shape and sent to a hospital in Liverpool, but her wounds were so bad that she died there. Police said that Fadlallah was in the back seat of a car in front of her home on Hendy Avenue when she heard a gun barrel hit the window and someone start shooting. In Panania, someone shot at their car, so they ran to the nearby town of Revesby.

In a press conference on Sunday afternoon, the head of the homicide squad, Danny Doherty, said that the attack was “an organized, careful, and planned murder.” The detective said, “There were a lot of people there last night, and there are still a lot of people there now.” He also said, “That will go on because this was a horrible attack on two women who were killed in a planned murder.” It’s not okay, and it’s never happened before.” Doherty says that Fadlallah, who is a mother of two, was known to the police.
He went on, “One idea is that she would have been the target most likely.” The car with four people in it was shot at by a criminal who fired several bullets into it. Doherty said that the killing showed signs of organized crime, even though there was no proof of a link to the current bikie gang fights. The police are worried because the crime seems to go against a “unwritten rule” that criminal groups shouldn’t go after families or women. “I think they just don’t care anymore,” Doherty said.
A 20-year-old man was driving, and a 16-year-old girl was also in the car. The police said that they were “incredibly lucky” to still be alive. “The four people in the car were the target of the criminals, who shot several times at the car.”
Doherty said that police were going to a number of other crime scenes in Revesby, Yagoona, and Moorebank to look for clues and find out what happened. He said, “Some burned-out cars were found, and the police are still looking into whether they have anything to do with the murder. These cars will be looked at by a forensics team.”
In their statement, NSW Police Force also said, “Strike Force Laurantus has been set up to look into the incident.
